About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Maybe someone can use this body. It appears in pretty good shape. Thanks to Andy for sharing it.
“53 Willys pickup body only for sale. I’m keeping the Chevy frame. I no longer have the original frame. No title. Good body. Right rear fender is missing.”
UPDATE: This sold almost immediately for full asking price of $11,000.
“Purchased in Wyoming in 2005, mechanical systems were gone over carefully at that time without disturbing the exterior patina. Always garaged and driven summers only since in Vt. Very original, purrs like a kitten, ready for another 70 years of work or play.”
“1951 jeep willys 3 speed 4wd with 350 big block..needs TLC been. . sitting for 15 years NEEDS new battery, new fluids ,cleaning carburetor out .. I bet it’ll fire right up though after that….I do have the title…and it’s located in Grand junction, right now…. Will need to be towed.$3000 firm you pick up”
This runs and drives and includes an overdrive. I’m sure someone will recognize that dash; I think it fits nicely in there. The WILLYS over the radio is a nice touch, too. Thanks to TJ for sharing.
“1949 willlys truck. Late 60s small block chevy. Original 3 speed with overdrive. Working pto winch new brakes and bearings on front end does not have power steering or brakes. Runs and drive good 6500”
“Custom pickup, built LS 5.3 motor,4l60e trans, air conditioning, electric windows, Custom fleetside bed, Custom chassis with independent frt suspension, narrowed rear-end with coilovers.”
“1962 Willys Jeep Truck. Runs and drives. Original drive train with the 226 ci straight-six and manual transmission. We have a fair amount of paperwork for the work that’s been done over the years. It’s a pretty solid pickup. There are a few rust spots, it’s not a show truck. Floor pans are better than decent with a few small holes. It starts right up and idles great. Tires are good. Paint is decent with the exception of the hood and roof where the clear has seen better days, and in the rocker areas where there is some rust bubbling. I’ve tried to be overly honest with the description, and I’m sure I’ve missed something, but I think you’ll be pleased to see it in person. Sold AS IS. Title in hand. Cash only. Pick up in Cumberland, MD.”
There’s still some work to be done, but this seems to have potential. Thanks to Andy for sharing it.
“`55 Willys pickup. body and interior mostly finished, Hurricane 226 engine run well but now after sitting a year a couple of valves stuck (remove subject cyl plug and gently tap down as it is turned over). Working plow frame and hydraulics. new gear reduction starter with maybe loose connections or just bad starter.New fuel tank. Decent tires. Bed deck needs replacing, have done nothing to frame and running gear or brakes due to heart problems. new windshields, new seats, lots of rotted body metal replaced. has to be finished but should not take a lot of either time or money. Have more time and money in it than asking price…be nice.”
“There was no provision to list as a willys. This is not a Gladiator.1953 Willys truck with stakebed. Starts, runs, shifts drives and stops. All electrical is in working condition. 4 wheel drive works, 6 volt electrical system. New tires. Needs back window glass”
