Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1962 Jeep Willy, 4 wheel drive, 50k, green pickup, in good condition, with generator and snow plow, and custom designed jockey boxes on the sides. Lives in a heated garage. A good working vehicle.”

This has a pop in the rear, but otherwise appears solid. It might make a good restoration candidate.
“1962 Willys Pickup. Original 6 cylinder engine. 35,000 original miles. Floorboards are solid, all gauges and lights work. Body is in great shape but does need some paint, primer is showing through in spots. Glass is good all the way around with two cracks on the lower right-hand corner of the driver door and two small cracks up high near the center of the windshield. Seat needs re-upholstered. Has been a great truck for me but has developed a popping noise in the rear differential. I parked it so as to not damage it.”

New wiring harness, Brakes, Interior, new tires, gas tank, Runs great, Original flat head six, Transfer may need a synchronizer, jumps out of gear if not tied down, simple fix I’m told This truck is and was rust free from the begining. A plus for a truck this age.”

Here’s a good looking truck with some upgrades.

“This is a mechanically restored and very cosmetically sound Willys. It has a rebuilt and balanced Chevy 327 cubic inch with 202 heads. It has an MSD 6 Offroad Electronic ignition and coil, MSD Billet distributor, Optima battery, Northern Aluminum radiator, electric fan (automatic), Dana 44 axles, 3.73:1 Gears, limited slip, 465 transmission and 205 transfer case, Vintage Air Heater, new glassand large capacity fuel tank(gas gauge is inop). The front end, brakes etc are all in great shape. The last owner spent approx. $12,000 on the Willys recently. This is a very nice example of a 1955 Willys Utility Wagon.”
