About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(01/19/10) For a non restored vehicle, this looks like it’s in good shape. Perfect for cruising the Santa Cruz Mountains after a winter rain and wind storm (think downed lines, mud slides, tree branches and more all over the roads ..)
“1960 Jeep Willys Pick-up. Dual Range 4X4. Super Hurricane 6-cyl. Original Ca. truck with blk. plates. New exhaust, Re-upholstered seat, Re-built electrical system, Runs and drives excellent!”
(12/13/09) This looks like a nice rebuild. Apparently, the interior needs finishing; but, it is drivable.
“1947 Jeep Willys Pickup. 350 Chevy Motor with less then 100 Miles. 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Hurst click shifter. Interior need to be finished. Exrta parts fenders, doors, grill. I have over 4500.00 dollars invested in the engine alone the tires are in excellient condition. This vehicle is in driveable condintion is on a S10 chevy frame it has a stock rearend all the tires are new it has new brakes all around. I have extra fenders, grill, and doors it has most of the chrome. Someone else took the pictures the dash is stock , however above the mirror there is a little rust . as far as I know it has the original title listed as a 47 I lost my job is the reason It is being sold. We did replace the floor in it so that is all done except around by the steering coloum it needs to be finished out side of that the interior is in good shape it just needs to be finished up. the windshield is out of it right now cause the weather stripping was bad however the windshield is in excellent shape. My son and I decided that would be agood time to redo around the windshield area. any more questions feel free to email me. BUT IT IS DRIVEABLE.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. It’s a great ad though.
Clarence needs a good home. I’m not sure if this ad is more art exhibit or more detailed explanation of the problems, but I really liked the pics; Enough to present them in full, though there are so many, I regulated most to the main page. Enjoy.
I purchased Clarence from an older gentleman in Caldwell Idaho, who bought him from his original owner. Clarence had not been driven for over 2 years when I had bought him. He ran just enough to get him onto the car hauling trailer.
Being that Clarence is 57 years old, he has some wrinkles and hic-ups I like to call “character”. Clarence and I went for a nice drive out in the country today to find a nice spot to take some pictures. I will try to express in pictures and writing all the “character” traits that Clarence has that makes him, I believe, so wonderful.
This one is on the drivers side fender. Fortunately it did not require any welding. Also note the “4 wheel drive” emblem is on this side.
Clarence is 4 wheel drive (4×4) with the original “jeep” hubs. I have used the 4 wheel drive in the snow and in the hills and it works great! He has the original 15″ wheels (3 black and 2 white). Which have radials on them that have over %50 life left. Although throwing some sealer in them or possibly some tubes wouldn’t be a bad idea. I currently stop by Les Schwab once a month to have them top them off with air
The inside is not to bad, although far from perfect. The bench seat has two storage spaces underneath. The seat appears to have been re-upholstered by a “non-professional”. It has some broken springs, but no tears. I did put in seat belts so that I could take my daughters around with me.
It’s unclear what 10% still needs restoring. I’m not sure what’s causing the backward sloping.
“90% Restored; New, rebuilt 305 Chevy V8, manual transmission, new alternator; new battery, new water pump, new electric fan, new wiring, new starter, 31″ tires & spare tire, new paint, new shocks, rebuilt carburetor. Call Flint @ (951)775-4051 or email me: flintthornock@yahoo.com”

“I have a super rare Willys pickup tailgate stamped with the W over the O that became the most recognized Willys Overland symbol. It is in very good condition. While the pickup remained the same from the 40’s to the 60’s, this tailgate was only made from 49-52……..and I challenge you to find one available for sale. replies MUST have WILLYS in the subject or I will delete as spam. Will consider all sorts of possible trade material….motorcycles, tools, firearms….what do you have?”
