Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Blaine shared this recently completed auction for a nice looking truck. However, it looks like the trim is incorrect for a 1960. Strangely, the file name of the pic below was listed as a 1957 (1957_willys_pickup_1957_willys_pickup). That also makes more sense with the split windshield. Finally, the title lists this as a 1962.

“A 1957 Willys Jeep Flatbed with a flathead Super Hurricane six-cylinder is what’s offered here, for sale at no reserve. The New Hampshire-based vintage 4×4 was reportedly painted in 2020 and has a “rust-free” body, while the L-head Super Hurricane engine is said to be original, but in need of a tune-up. There are 65,754 miles on the odometer, but the seller notes it was non-functional for a while. The truck’s true mileage is unknown. “It’s time to pass this truck on to another old Jeep lover,” says the seller.”
UPDATE: **Sold** was $1900.
This appears to be a truck with the rear sides of a wagon modified into a rear bed. It’s something a little different.

This beast is powered by a Detroit 4-53T also known as a “Screaming Jimmy” it’s a turbo’d and supercharged inline 4 two stroke paired with a beefy 4 speed manual transmission. Perfect for towing around other hot rods or rat rods. Truck is on 37’ tires and sits on a reinforced C10 truck frame with absolutely zero rust. This is a rat truck, it has no AC, it’s loud and rolls coal in every gear. Truck is a manual and requires someone who knows how to drive, however the tranny is solid and clutch is really forgiving. This isn’t a rust bucket, it’s a tasteful rat truck that you can hop in and drive across country with zero doubts. Most reliable rat I’ve ever owned and it’s never left me stranded. Fires up first start and will tow on the hottest day of the year with zero problems. If you’ve read this fair go ahead and shoot me a message, I can talk about this thing all day. Open for trades (I like cool stuff) but cash is king.”

“I have a 47 Willy’s gasser drag truck. It has a big block 455 with a turbo 400 and a ford 9 inch. Truck runs and drives good and it street legal. Engine is mildly built and transmission has a shift kit. Truck is very reliable.”
