Bill’s got this nice looking truck for sale and he provides a detailed review of what’s been done to it.
“For sale is a restored 1951 Willys Overland pickup truck which I’ve owned for the past 18 years. The truck is a four wheel drive, 1 ton model with a 3 speed transmission and 2 speed transfer case. It’s powered by the Willys ‘Hurricane’ engine and still retains its 6 volt electrical system. Everything works on the truck as it should and it drives and stops fine. It’s been garaged for the past 22 years with the last 10 years in a climate controlled garage.
It’s an older “body off frame” restoration that was started in 1998 and was approximately 90% completed in 2005 after which it was stored for 15 years. I finally completed it this past summer. Unfortunately, some of the work that I had originally completed years ago had to be redone due to the length of time that it sat. It’s only been driven approximately 19 miles since I’ve owned it. Before contacting me, please read below for ALL the details on what work was done and when it was done. And, yes, you CAN drive it home if you want.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5900.
(1022/2019) In the right hands this could be a cool custom truck.

Paul’s got this nice looking truck for sale.
“Up for sale is a nice looking, driving and stopping 1953 Willys truck. Originally from the Colorado area. She starts great and shifts in both hi and low range as it should. Many new parts replaced. New plastic gas tank and electric fuel pump.
New cap, rotor, wires and plugs. New master cylinder all 4 wheel cylinders and rubber lines. 4 new tires and tubes. 4 new shocks and carb was rebuilt by the old Jeep carb guy. Windows roll up and down and doors open and close all new inner handles. I have a new complete wiring harness ready for new owner to install. Headlights work both hi and low. Dome lamp also works the paint is 38 plus years old and shines well but was done poorly when applied. Bed is very solid and has been
Rhino lined as is the cab floor. She’s not perfect but she’s also not 20k. Old school patina look.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $4500.
I thought I’d seen this for sale, but I didn’t find it in my archives.
“This is a custom Willys Jeep pickup that has been shortened and made into a convertible. It has original transmission and transfer case. It has a Ford 261 v8 witch is the predecessor to the 289. It has no rust and it also comes with a working PTO winch! I hate to sell it but I have a couple other projects I’m trying to finish and I’m a disabled vet so with Christmas on the way I need the cash! I have a like new set of nice tires I will throw in if someone gives close to my asking price! This thing has had a lot of work put into it!”
This looks to have some early Husky hubs.
