Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It had a major rebuild by the previous owner and all the important mechanical components/systems were rebuilt, replaced, or confirmed to be in good working condition. Truck came from New Mexico so the frame and body steel are very solid with minor rust. It is 99% original or appropriate replacement parts. The body and paint is what you would expect for a truck that’s 64 years old, the usual scratches, minor rust, and dings. F head 134 Cubic inch engine, three speed, Hi Low range, 4WD. It’s a great truck to just drive for fun or a good candidate for the next level of restoration.”

(08/19/2018) Looks great. Will need a brake job soon. Not many of the Thermador coolers around. Here’s a video of a man talking about one and showing how it works.
“I am listing my 55 for sale. It was originally purchased in Bakersfield CA by first owner, I am 3rd owner. I did an on body restoration over a 3 year period. Every nut, bolt, wire, washer, etc replaced or restored. Here’s a brief list of what was done
– engine and tranny rebuilt by prior owner (original 6 cylinder engine).
– chrome interior parts and bumper all re-chromed
– new speedo, gauges, wire harness throughout vehicle
– I replaced all 4 tires plus spare, there’s about 3-5k miles on the truck since I owned it
– customer fabricated sun visor
– swamp cooler (very rare)

“1952 Willy’s Jeep pickup
Renegade military themed hot rod. Very unique only one like it. Took seven years to build and many hours of labor. It’s a radical show pickup. Nothing like it nor probably ever will be.
Engine
LS1 5.3l with painless perfect harness and stand alone speed density computer. Has headers and race mufflers. Comes with a performance tune so it really goes. Engine has 148k on it with perfect compression and oil pressure: no leaks. Runs awesome: spins the tires at will.
Chassis
Custom made 2×4 chassis with tubular independent mustang 2 suspension with adjustable coil over shocks, rack and pinion steering, rear suspension is a ladder bar style with adjustable coil overs. Has custom frame gussets with stars and trucker girls.
