About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“I’ve enjoyed my Willys pickup but time to move on to another project. Selling this great truck for someone else to enjoy. It’s 4-wheel drive and has a 327 Chevy 5-speed under the hood. Runs well and has been maintained regularly. Most recently changed the brake master cylinder, mounted a remote brake reservoir, replaced the started solenoid and replaced wipers. Winner of Best in Class award at the 2017 Bastrop car show.”
“3 willys trucks, the green and white truck has a Chevy small block motor the other 2 are just body, frames, etc… I also have a set of rear fenders.
I have a title for 1 of them the other 2 are just parts trucks.
I had purchased a 4×4 tahoe rolling chassis with title that I had plans to put one of the willys body on (wheel base is within an inch of being the same) that you can take with the trucks if you want.”
“I have a 48 Willis Jeep and that is guessing I really don’t know the jeep has been sitting a long time has no tires and rims on it sitting on the ground look to have original motor and trans in it and that’s all I know about it so there’s no questions really I can ask answer for you because that’s all I know if you’re interested I’ll take 1500 for it I mite do some trading what you got?”
“Hate to stop on this project, but there are other priorities in life demanding more right now so this needs to go. Please look over the spec sheet and let me know if there are any questions. I’m willing to deal on the price or trade for a Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee XJ. Thanks for looking. Do not contact me to help sell, not interested.”
TJ shared this truck with a 1982 2.3 liter Peugot engine in it and featured on Barn Finds a couple days ago. It lacks four wheel drive due to non-matching RP ratios in the front and back.
“Let’s start with some bad.
No front drive line for four wheel drive because it has non matching gearing between front and rear axle.
Passenger floorboard has holes, big enough for a big toe to fit in.
Heater core has pinhole leak so it steams up the cab, currently bypassed.
Some good.
2.3l turbo diesel from 1982 peugeot 505s.
Bosch mechanical fuel injection.
Garret turbo.
Achieves 25 mpg city.
Capable of freeway speeds, but it takes a while(1st gear 10-20,2nd gear 20-30, 3rd 30-60, redline 85mph calculated)
20 gal aluminum fuel tank, 500 mile range.
Custom adapter for jeep t15 3 speed transmission.
Dana 44 rear axle 3.90 limited slip from full size jeep truck, with rebuilt brakes.
New brake lines front to back.
All new wiring and fuse box.
Wipers converted to 2 speed electric.
33 inch mud and snow tires.
Custom rear driveline. Continue reading →
“I’m selling my 1948 Willys pickup. It has not been restored in the pure sense (frame-off restoration). I just made everything work. For example, it has an electronic distributor, quick release hubs on the front axle, electric windshield wipers, converted from 6 volt to 12 volt, etc. It has the original Flat-head 4 cyl engine with single barrel carburetor, 3-speed manual transmission, hi/low transfer case, new radiator. Seats have been recovered in vinyl, spray-in bed liner. The tires are the original 6.00 x 16 bias ply.
I’ve been using it to go to the dump, go get coffee, go to the hardware store at my home near Prescott, etc. It is a conversation piece. Every time I go out somebody wants to talk about it. I have had no problems since I fixed it up. It always starts and runs. It gets me where I’m going and back. Somebody said to me that it was OLD, I said no it’s not! Then I reflected that it is 70 years old and since I’m 66 I didn’t consider it old, but I guess it is and I am! If interested, give me a call or text.”
Seller only wants to deal with folks in person. Nice looking truck.
“4 cylinder motor, 3 speed transmission, rear axle all original. Runs and drives great. All gauges work. Has been converted to 12V. Driver and passenger windows have small cracks, see photos. Body in excellent condition except rust in bottom of bed, see photos. Overall condition very good to excellent for being original. Repainted approximately 15 years ago. Clean Colorado title. Serious inquiries only. Face to face cash transactions only.”
