About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“51 Willys, 372 Chevy striker, Dana lockers front and rear, 16 forward gears, new paint, carpet, new clutch and pressure plate, be cool aluminum radiator. Needs tired and brake job. Motor out of vehicle. ”
Jim forwarded this poor truck. As he noted in his email to me, the jeep’s proximity to the trashcan seems appropriate. Still, there might be $300 in parts here.
“1947 willys overland pickup. Flat head six, 3 on the tree,4×4, all running works are there. Frame broke no title. Head is off but there. Parts only.”
There could be some value here if you are looking for an unusual project.
“I have too many projects so it’s time for this one to go, it’s a 1949 Willys truck, the bed has been shortened about 1 1/2 feet. No motor but it does have the original tranny and transfer case, 70s jeep Wagoneer Dana 44’s front and rear, only asking $500 for quick sale. I was going to build a rat rod out of it but it could be a nice crawler. The Dana 44’s and the tailgate are worth $500 alone so don’t try to lowball me. No paperwork bill of sale only.”
(10/28/2016) Craig spotted this one. It looks like a good price.
“Testing the waters here,I have a 1954 willys pick up 4wd looks an runs great..body is in over all decent shape no major rust besides the. Roof has a spot but other then that paint is nice an body is solid..has a Chevy 4.1 250 inline 6 with a manual transmission .. truck does run Ann drive but will need the brakes adjusted a little better..looking to sell for $6000.00 obo or will entertain trades…rat rods, muscle cars,Harley and just plain cash.:.no low ballers or tire kickers I don’t have to sell”
“This is a 1953 Willy’s pickup. Has a 350 chevy, leather interior, brand new battery, 4ft stacks. Drives great. Willing to sell or entertain trades on older trucks or jeeps.”
“1951 Willys Overland 4×4 PU truck, third person, second family to own.
100% original accept for second tail light and truck style mirrors added, truck is in good shape
Overhead valve 4 cylinder with PTO, heater, push button floor starter, round art deco buttons to open doors.
Drove on weekends for a few years, parked it 10 years ago due to brakes failing. Yard art since then, to distracted with raising a family and job to get done what it really needed (I know, lame reason). Wife doesn’t see the art value, time to sell.
Engine is in good shape but I have not started in last 10 years. Items needing attention to get road worthy. 1) brake and master cylinder rebuild 2) original rear trans seal started leaking too much gear oil to drive regularly (then brakes failed) and second gear syncro is bad plus pops out of that gear under compress stopping 3) clean old fuel from gas tank/line and Carburetor probably will need deep cleaning or maybe rebuild after sitting so long. Should then be good to go. ”
“Vintage Willys pick-up. Dump-O-Matic. Original Willys “Hurricane 6″ flat head motor, rebuilt 1000 miles ago with overdrive unit. Rust-free New Mexico truck. All gauges work except for odo.”
Craig spotted this one. It may have some parts value at the very least.
“up for sale this old willys pickup 4 cyl 3spd 4×4 this truck runs and moves and stops has 4 265/ 65 /15 in good shape 2 other wheels and tires a good battery — that’s the good — the bad is sheet metal is quite rusty every where —- however the frame looks real solid oddly enough — came from new mexico several years ago merrill”
“Rare two wheel drive ,’49 Willys pickup , 4 cyl locked up , trans shift nob says 4speed, as far as I know it’s original beside wheels and paint. I know the owners since 60’s.”
