About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“4 wheel drive Willys wagon. Good running 226 super hurricane flathead 6cyl, T90 transmission, twin stick Spicer 18 transfer case, Dana 44 rear axle, 25 front. Will need work on floors in the rear as well as some other body work. Tailgate is in great shape ( a rare find on willys wagons). A great project that I can’t find the time for.”
(05/02/2014) This might be worth a look. Not running at the moment, but might not take much.
“I don’t know a lot about this vehicle at this point. My father and my nephew worked on this vehicle together. My father had paid someone to get it running and shortly after he got it running it was parked in the barn on a farm. I just recently went down to pick it up to sell it. I know that it is not currently running, but it was running before it was parked. My father has since passed away so I have no more information on the jeep. It is really very cool it is a must see.”
“1951 Willys Wagon
This vehicle is a 20 year old restoration that is in need of body work and paint again. The paint is peeling and there is rust beginning again.
It has a very strong 4 bolt 350, turbo 350 trany with a shift kit, 203 transfer case, 9″ ford rear axle with 438 gears and drum breaks, dana 27 front axle with 438 gears and power disc brakes. Though not shown in the pics I do have all the original seats. with the exception of the drive train all the original equipment is here.
This wagon runs very well and has been a great mountain rig for my wife and I for many years.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.”
Comes with a Studebaker V8. MIght make an interesting project.
“For sale here is a lovely little 49 Willy’s Overland 4X4 Wagon! Unfortunately, I have to part ways with this little beauty… She has a neat little Studebaker V8 (not running, but not seized) under the hood, and has been converted to a 12V system. Other than that, she appears all original! The overall condition is not bad, but she will be a project! This is a very hard to find Willy as very few of these wagons were made in four wheel drive before they updated the body style. There is NO TITLE on this. Please text me, as that is the easiest way to get me. I am not always able to answer my phone. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!”
Rack doesn’t go with wagon. Engine and tranny updated. Needs a little work.
“Good solid willys, They call these woodies because of the wood in the interior and the outside has the metal wood look. interior is nice, automatic 700 R transmission,250 chevy straight 6 engine with extra engine.Runs good, good gas mileage, good tires, Ready to drive it home. Brakes will need redoing from sitting, but work fine now.Need’s headliner, you can buy them on the internet for 300.00.Need’s emergency brake cable and paint is a little rough on the hood. Hate to let this go, but have too many other projects on my plate. It’s a nice driver and turns a lot of heads and thumbs up when I take it out.”
“Three willys for one price. One has a title the others do not but have had a vin check. Could make one out of three . Engine is in pieces in the back of one of the wagon. Must take all three”
“I have a willys overland for sale it’s in pretty good shape and mostly complete. I bought it just like it is to build a mud toy out of but I really don’t wanna ruin it like that. The motors all there but the head is off. I took pictures of the three first rust areas. The rest of it is pretty solid. I do not have a title for it.”
Looks real nice. Not sure the rear bumper quite goes with everything else.
“This 1953 Jeep Willys Station Wagon (Overland) has 30k miles, runs and looks good. It has had extensive restoration and repair work including a recent carb rebuild, new shocks all around, rebuilt brakes including all wheel cylinders and lines, new tie rod ends, vacuum wiper motor rebuild, new wiring, fluid change, removal of all rust inside, outside and underneath with repaint to a dark sage green, close to the original color. Wooden flooring restored. Engine is the original F-head 4 cylinder that runs perfect with only 30k on the odo. Trans is 3-speed with high and low range and 4-wheel drive and locking hubs up front, a rugged off-road set up. The body has been lifted about 3.5 inches and the tires and 15 inch wheels are new with good tread. It is located just north of The Woodlands (north of Houston off I-45) and can be inspected and driven by appointment.”
“1951 Willys Station Wagon Chassis 4 WD. THIS IS FOR THE CHASSIS ONLY! THE BODY IS GONE!
It has a ’54 Flat L 226 Super Hurricane. Number on the engine is #905574. It has been rebuilt and has quite a few new items on it. (see the pics). The rest of the chassis has the steering column and steering box, transmission, the transfer case and every thing else hooked up. The clutch and brake pedals are complete. It also has 2 more intake manifolds and one more exhaust manifold & 2 other carbs, fuel pump and oiler. Water pump w/backer plate and thermostat housing neck. Drive shaft and linkage, original rear-end, was told that it has been rebuilt, a gas tank which is still solid but empty. If it will sweeten the pot, it also has all three seats w/ frames.
If this is something you might be intersested in buying or even know someone who looking to buy this, let me know. Call me and maybe we can work out a deal!”
