Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1955 Willy’s Wagon, runs, drives, fresh glass, new tires, new clutch, fresh carburator rebuild, etc. Many items recently rebuilt or serviced. Original 4 cyl Willy’s engine and 3 speed manual transmission working excellent.
Beautiful original type wood strips in the cargo area. Rear seat removes in seconds.
Spare parts included as shown. The hard stuff is done, a few minor items like headliner, finishing rear seat upholstry (new vinyl there, just not finished) and getting the heater working remain. Finding a few trim strips remain as well. I bought it late summer to use for marketing a business, have decided not to do so, so it is available.
Other Willy’s Wagons currently offered are total projects, this one you could drive home from my location! ”

“Bought this a couple months ago for some restortation projects now things have changed.

Jeep run very good. Brake are good with new wheel cylinders carb. Rebuilt by professional co in columbus ohio. Tune up is excellent as pic shows good glass lights Work oil pressure 40 psi. Some rust in floor but overall. Very solid
I found this not all that impressed me. It runs alot better than I would ever expected I have owned willys wagon since 1976 and this one is mechanically
a 8 -9 in my book. It need shocks and brake pedal tighten up ( moves side ways) one lock out hub is hard to turn Good title original sales sticker from window. With newspaper article about original owner from Morgantown wva etc. Nice history nice jeep. good tires

Needs sheet metal work to correct rusted floor boards, rockers and tail gate. Will need to be towed. Does not run. All of the glass is there and original. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Has potential for a project.
“1947 Willys Panel truck. Great potential for project hot rod, cruiser, 4×4 ???. Has both barn doors. Rolling chassis. No hood. Front 10 slot clip is in great condition. R/side was cut for window but not thru body lines. Left side has not been touched. This is a factory 2wd chassis. No motor or transmission.
Sold with Bill of Sale & statement of facts only. Unit has been sitting for over 20 years, no current paperwork. ”

(01/28/2014) It runs and drives. It looks great on the outside, but the interior could use some cleaning.
“I have a classic Willys Wagon that I had shipped out here from Chico, Ca.. Was my Grandpas hunting wagon. Has Chevy inline 6(250), 700r4 od trans to stock spicer 18 tcase (4×4). This is setup for driving to the lease, titled and tagged. Has a winch( not hooked up), pick,shovel, gun racks…. I drive it around town, people love it. Driver door window glass is cracked, few dents and a little rust( not much). Pretty original, unmolested Jeep with some drivetrain upgrades. 5:38 axle gears, so 60 mph even with overdrive, but rides nice for a classic. Needs to be restored to be perfect or drive as is. Only interested in trades right now, NOT for sale. 72 or older Chevy or Gmc truck, Camaro, Chevelle roller project, other Jeeps, lowered rides like Silverado… What ya got? Lookin’ around 6 grand for trade.”
This wagon has potential. The engine has been removed.
