This looks good.
“1961 willy’s overland 2dr utility wagon, designated f-226 4×4, Restored 1992, and been garaged ever since. has had limited use, approximately 8 to 10 thousand miles over the last 20 years. but this vehicle will go anywhere, an excellent 4×4.
original f-226 flat head has been converted to a 1966 chevy 283 ci engine, engine is balanced and blueprinted, mild rv cam,4bbl carb, stock intake and dual exhaust. completely rebuilt w/cylinder heads, seats, valves for todays fuel, run the cheap stuff. gets 18 mpg. only 5000 miles on it.—4×4, 3sp manual trans, warn overdrive, syncronized shift on the fly, 2 sp t-case, 4.27:1 gears. Everything overhauled in 1992- engine(1995), trans, t-case, front axle, rear axle, springs, shocks, and hardware, steering gear and knuckles, brakes and hydraulics. has 5 new snow tires, alternator, battery and speedometer. Interior- reupholstered and painted. Custom carpet, head liner and oak trim, nice stereo. seats fold up for more cargo area. I can attest to the quality and extent of all this work, as i have been a mechanic for 34 years, and own the shop this was done in for 22 years.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This panel wagon looks solid. It needs a few addition things done to it.
“Iam selling my restored rare 1962 2 wheel drive sedan delivery wagon. This vehicle has many many new parts including a freshly rebulit 134 f head engine. new suspension (shocks, shackles, leaf springs front and rear)
New door panels and window felt and rubber ,headliner, rubber floor mat.New brakes, wheel cylinders master cylinder and lines, new fuel lines and carburator (also have the original)New cd player built into glove box. New
tires and cragar chrome rims.(have original baby moon hub cap and rims also). New paint, the inside bed is cover in bed liner paint.
The entire undercarriage have been covered in POR paint. Few things to point out vacuum wipers do not work, passenger door closes but gap is not perfect. Gas gauge work sporadically (i put new sending unit in so think its
a grounding problem). The front hood and grill trim pieces have been rechromed, the bumpers have not.”
Here are a series of three wagon related photos for sale on eBay. I don’t recognize where the first photo was taken. Anyone else know?

UPDATE: Note this toy jeep I found at the Snook Museum.
I just ran across this neat little story from indianamilitary.org. According to the story, in 1950 the Army bought 1000 Jeep Station Wagons and outfitted them for testing at Army Hospitals all over the country. The were painted Olive Drab and given government data plates. You can read the entire history and see all the pics here.
The 1951 Wagon below ended up at Camp Atterbury. It was sold in 1954 and then used and parked until it was restored. It sell has the original government data plate.
