UPDATE: I found what I believe is another Israel Kaiser brochure which highlights the Compact Tender design. This truck looks more like a modified wagon than a truck. The bed does not appear independent of the cab.

Original Published Dec 05, 2010: Congrats to Or who spotted some information from a “Kaizer-Ilin Industrys Ltd” marketing document at the Israel Cars forum. He and I have both searched for any official piece of evidence that the vehicles we were seeing were really produced and this represents the first step in that process. We still don’t know how many were produced, nor how many years they were produced, nor in how many countries they were produced (though they have appeared in both Israel and the US).
The document below is from 1963. Or translates it the following way:
1. Tender Willys
2. “Station Car”
3. Compact Tender
4. c’hamp 1963
Moreover, Or spoke with some of the folks at the Israel Cars forum and discovered that the Compact Tender is built on the Panel/Wagon frame (104.5″ wheelbase) rather than the long pickup frame (118″ wheelbase).

“This is a non-title project. Willys this old didn’t have VIN numbers so one has to title it as a home build or use the serial number data plate—which I have.
Custom frame, roll cage and fabrication by Kyle Green Fabrication in Gilbert, Az. He builds professional desert race trucks and can be found online.
2007 5.3 V8 (I was told 60k miles) with Pacesetter headers and new HP 4L80E transmission and rebuilt transfer case. I have the engine computer that’s programmed and ready to run. New in Box Painless Wiring Kit (No. 60526) to run engine and transmission. Drive by wire pedal included. Hydroboost brake module (needs brake lines and hoses).
Frame is beautiful and of the finest quality set up for Fox coilovers (I have the fronts new in box). Custom brake pedal installed. Ididit steering column (shift on column) 90 % installed. Rebuilt Saginaw steering gear. JK seats. New body wiring harness.
Will sell for $11,500.00 less engine and transmission.”

I got it on a trade, looks like they did a good job with the restoration. It’s solid, runs and drives great, everything works. A real head turner. I installed front disc brakes for safety, new rear drum brake shoes, new glass in doors, new carburetor and a backup camera. Decals can easily be removed. Interested in TRADING for a mild v-8 vehicle that is HWY drivable long distance. Will consider 50s – early 90s chevy trucks, prefer auto trans with a/c.
