Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “We have (2) 1950s JEEP Willys 4×4 Trucks for sale. One is a pickup and the other a wagon. Both appear to have the original Super Hurricane I6 engines and drivetrain along with most of the chrome and trim. There is surface rust and some rot on both, but they appear solid.”

“1953 Jeep Willys Panel Wagon with Willys F4-134 Hurricane Engine. All matching numbers. Restoration well over half done, Body is straight with very few dings or rust (except a little surface rust on Front End and a few small rust holes on door bottom). All glass, interior and chrome inside of it. Quite a few spare/new parts. Needs a Rubber kit which can be found at multiple places online. Even have the Original Willys Mechanic’s Manual. Engine and Drivetrain were running fine 2 years ago before beginning of restoration. Asking $3000 or Best Offer. Prices for Jeep Willys’ can exceed $30,000 for good restored these days. Would make a great Off-Road Toy, Military MASH Ambulance or a Classic “Woodie” Surf Wagon with a few Mods. Since having a heart attack, I wont be able to finish her, but I’m sure some one else can finish and enjoy her. One of the pics in this ad was about 20 years old and the other 2-3 years old before beginning the restore. I am going to buy a digital camera today or tomorrow so I can take pics of it as it is now and will update this post then. Email me if interested or make an offer.”

“This 1950 Willys Wagon is a great candidate for a restoration or project, and few improvements have already been made. It has a Buick 215 cubic inch V6 backed by a turbo 350 transmission, and a Mustang 2 type suspensionand rack and pinion steering up front. The Wagon has a clear title, and comes complete except for the front and mid side windows, and steering column. The body is in great condition considering its a 1950 model year.
The Willys is for sale locally, and if sold locally we reserve the right to end the auction.”

Here’s a wagon that appears to have the unusual Willys Overland bumper sculpture. I can’t quite make it out clearly to know for sure.
