Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is an old Willys Sedan Delivery I have had for 25 years intending to build a hot rod. She has moved all over Texas and been in numerous shops and storage facilities, but its time to let someone with more gumption than I take her. If there is interest, I would sell her or trade/partial trade for a jetski. THe body is remarkably straight, but she is getting rustier each year. TIme to let her go. Yesterday Ron contacted me, asking if I had see the wagon on the Can-Am commercial. Well, I couldn’t remember seeing a Can Am commercial.
Then, last night I was watching the Temple/USF game and updating eWillys when I looked up to see Can-Am flash across the screen. I thought to myself, I wonder if that was the commercial Ron mentioned. So, I rewinded it and spotted the wagon. There it was, very briefly shown in the background. A red wagon with white trim sporting the name Nick’s Cove. After a quick search that focused on Nick’s Cove only. I found the pic below. Thanks Nick!

“1951 Willys Overland Wagon. 265 Chevy V8 3spd 4X4. It does need restoration but is very complete. Runs and Drives but not on the road. Fenders, Front Bumper, And Tail Gate are off but included. The paint is supposed to be original and this has about 60,000 original miles.

I have owned this vehical for almost 20 yrs, purchased from original owner, 226 6cyl flat head motor 100% rebuilt, t-90 3 speed transmission (rebuilt) dans 18 transfer case, This jeep is rock solid, perfect restoration project, under side hase been 100% sandblasted & epoxy sprayed, new wheel cyl, brake pads, drums turned, backing plates blasted & painted, stock wheels blasted & painted, 750 x 15″ mud & snow tires (new) This vehical had about 60,000 when I purchased it. I started restoration….then bought a willys jeepster, I’ve decided to finish the jeepster. Paint is 100% original, I have every part for this jeep, interior is in very good condition, have all the seats, door panels, evey piece & part in boxes & labeled. All chrome has been re-finished, bumpers, grill, tailgate & light bezelles. Only Serious, Please do not call to talk. I’m getting divorced & want to unload. I don’t have to sell this jeep.”
The seller refers to the wagon as a ‘panel’, so this is either not a panel wagon or it might be a Parkway Conversion Panel. Can anyone clarify that? Frank pointed out the truck might be a Tender.
“I have 2 Willy’s Jeeps for sale 1 is a 57 pick-up and the other is a 58 Panel, Both run but each has it’s own issue’s…They both have the flat head 6, the panel motor purrs like a kitten…The panel body is in excellent shape the floor is in great condition and it has the PTO ..The pick-up runs and is driveable ..But I was goin to use it for parts for the panel I can explain the reason’s for this ..I am selling them as a pair … will not split them up …I don’t have a shop to work on them and Would like to get them to somebody that has the means to do with what is needed ..for additional information give me a call 208-410-7676…Scott”
