Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Or, a reader from Israel, has been trying to locate more information (especially the model number) about the Compact Willys Truck I have temporarily labeled a Tender. While doing that research, he spotted a brief clip of some Willys Wagons, Trucks and the Kaizer-Ilin plant in Israel (but no Compact Willys Trucks visible).
Look at minute mark 4.22 through 4.43.

“1951 Willys Overland on original frame and suspension. V6, automatic, tilt steering wheel, power steering. Has been on jack stands in my garage for the last 5 years. Needs some work but is in overall good condition. Does not run. Comes with a car dolly”
I’m gonna guess this is an early 50s Wagon given the flathead inline 6 cyl.

The price is a bit high for a non runner; however, this this appears to be a good restoration candidate.

(08/19/2010) Here’s a nicely updated Wagon.
“1955 Willys Wagon – Flathead 226 Super Hurricane Motor. 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. 3″ body lift. Runs well and is in good shape. Some minor rust but nothing major. Clutch was recently replaced. Looks good but is far from a show car.”
