Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This runs though the body is a bit rough.
“Green Willys Wagon, from the last year of production, before they brought out the Wagoneer, as Kaiser Jeep. Original 6 cylinder flat-head engine that I rebuilt a dozen years ago, and haven’t driven all that much since. This one runs pretty well, though I haven’t used in for several years. Body isn’t too bad, but it’d take some work to get it back to really nice condition. Driver’s side floor needs replacing.”

I was surfing around the Old Willys Forum and spotted a link to a great little site in Canada devoted to BlueBell the Wagon. Make sure to take the animated BlueBell (upper left corner of the site) for a test drive. Lots of good info here.

I’d say that front bumper doesn’t look too original either. But price looks pretty good.

“1952 Jeep Willys Wagon 4 wheel drive 73,000 original miles This car has been in a garage since 1974. No rust, no dents, Spare parts, doors, hood, grill, etc… Hasn’t run in awhile, but in great condition.”

This might make a good parts wagon at the very least.

Pete and his kids have been doing some work on a wagon that they recently made road worthy. He shared a video with me that you can view below. It’s always great to see a wagon on the trail, but the best part of the video are the short, funny comments made by his son.

This appears very restorable.
“1950 Jeep Willys Panel. Very unusual panel truck, most of these Jeeps had side windows. This is a 2 WD with what we believe to be a Chrysler 383 with an automatic transmission. They never completed the engine installation and the engine is locked up. The body is very straight and rust free and would make a great project. We have a title for this vehicle and can arrange shipping anywhere. For questions call Rich 719-338-1053.”

This looks like a nice wagon for the price. There might be a little rust along the back.
