Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This was a drag jeep that’s been made street legal. I’m not sure why it is listed as a 1962.
“For sale is a very nice and fun to drive 1962 Willys Panel Wagon. spent most of its life as a drag car on the Coles County Dragstrip before being returned to the street. Very strait body, no rust or dents. Very reliable, I have driven it to the NSRA Nationals event in Louisville KY the last 2 years. No problem running 70+ mph down the interstate. It has a .030 over 350 crate motor, 400 turbo tranny, 9″ ford rearend, power steering. Always gets a lot of attention and you wont see another one like it at the car show. Trades considered”

Dan pointed out that this Parkway Conversion looking wagon has the rear bumper step plate of a Traveller. The deal includes a ‘jeep’-bed trailer.

“Rare version with the barn doors less then 300 made in 57′. Back injury forces me to sell rather than complete. Older V8 conversion needs a refresh. Lots of the new parts included. Has Dana front and rear, overdrive and 2 speed rear end! This wagon has a gov plate and remnants of a Department of Interior design that suggest it was owned by the DOI at some point.

“1956 willys wagon parkway. 226 super hurricane. Runs and drives. Still needs some work. Some rust around rear fender wells. Other than that it is pretty clean. I cleaned and sealed the interior roof and floor pans. New fuel tank, filling tube,locking gas cap, and sending unit. New gas peddle. Mostly converted to 12v besides gauges. Does need a new 6v regulator. Or upgrade to 12v. Has gm alternator. And upgraded distributor. Has pto driven winch. New head lights and taillights with integrated reverse lights. New blinker switch. Needs a wiper motor. I made some plywood interior panels and they have new speakers in them. It needs seats. Only has a driver seat at the moment. I do have the original passenger seat complete and the original driver bench seat frame. I also have wood planks for the floor. Rear window is cracked and one is plexiglass. 5500 obo. Open to offers. Only selling cause I have to many projects. Open to Possible trades. Have a clean title”
