“Selling my beloved 1962 Willys wagon. In decent unmolested condition. All original except for tires, wheels, and a radio. Rare original 230 engine runs but needs the carb cleaned. Also needs a brake master cylinder. Slight pinholes in drivers floorboard, but otherwise rust is not an issue. Amateur body work on drivers door. Drive it the way it is with a little work, or it is an excellent ”

Scramboleer Dan shared an Old Willys Forum thread that has pics and a discussion of a 1954 four door wagon that has two rear suicide doors. Later on, the thread contains a video link with Paul Barry sharing a photo of a 3 door wagon with one rear suicide door. At this point, the unknown question is … was this modified at the factory, at Fairmont, or somewhere else? In the meantime, we all seem to be unanimous in our jealously of the new owner 🙂

Mike and Carl both forwarded this oddity: a custom DJ-5 with a wagon front end and CJ-2A 4WD modification.

“1961 Willys 4X4 Overland Wagon. Rare ranch doors, the 226 Hurricane flat head 6 motor was rebuilt by A&F motors 3,500. and has no more than 1,000 miles on it. The engine compartment was repainted when the motor was rebuilt. The truck runs and drives great starts right up every time. Carb was rebuilt 6 months ago. I was in the process of restoring this vehicle but have to move in less than 60 days. Must sell. I restored a 1959 8 years ago and it brought 15,900 on Ebay.
This is an easy project does need body work and paint. You can rat rod it as is. That seems to be what everyone is doing these days. Nice interior and rat rod exterior. The side windows, seats frames. cushions, headliner are out of the vehicle except for the driver and passenger side windows and front windshield and both rear glass All the glass is there along with all interior side moldings. The side panels are in good shape and the oak floor strips are in nice shape and are solid. The left rear wheel well has some rust through about 9 inches long as seen in the picture.
Mike spotted this unique jeep. It runs, but is not road worthy.
“48 Willys wagon body mated to a 95 caprice wagon lower. Car runs and drives but is not road ready yet. LT1 engine auto trans. All hard work is already done. Car still has factory a.c. if you want it. Willing to trade for an SUV 2006 or newer.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/01/2017) Looks good.
“This Jeep is sharp, Buick 350 V-8, Barn doors, 3 speed manual transmission, 4×4. She runs strong and drives nice.
Registered non-op, pink slip in hand, clean title
It’s street legal and ready to come off non-op. NO smog required.
There is some rust on the lower front rocker panels and some surface rust but over all a great looking vehicle.
Interior is not finished. She has lots of new and extra part’s.
True survivor, sound vehicle. Great for a desert project-4wheel drive, or street cruiser. Willy’s the original Jeep!
No trades, No help required in selling, No-unsolicited services or offers.”
