“I have a 63 cj6 I would like to sell. I traded my labor for it. From what I have found out it sits on a 78 wagoner frame, 3.8 v6 engine and transmission from a camero. 4 speed manual transmission. It does have a soft top but I have never had it on. I store it in my garage.”

The engine, trans, T case and diffs have all been rebuilt, new fuel system, new wiring harness, breaks and far to many more New OE parts throughout to mention. Very low miles since restoration but has been started and driven regularly.
The MUTT has been garage kept and is car show and parade ready. The rare vinyl top and side curtains are all OE with no defects. This MUTT has been part of a private collection for 15+ years but it is now time for someone else to enjoy her. Pictures of original vehicle and restoration available on request. Vehicle is located 30 miles east of Dallas, TX. Reasonable offers will be considered.”

“1975 Postal Jeep— new paint job, new glass and seals, new slide doors track bearings, nice seats. 232 six cylinder with automatic trans ran ok before we started paint job. Needs battery so won’t run right now. This was a project for dad that he didn’t finish. That’s up to you. Front windshield is new but not put in”
Looks like it might have some of the Selector-Like “Free Lock” hubs. Also has a PTO. Not sure how much value is here.

(10/05/2016) The red jeep has a DJ-3A body.
“two Willys jeeps for sale. They are rough but I was gonna make one out of the two. The blue one is a 1946 CJ2A, I have the data plate for it, but no title for either. I don’t know the year of the other one. The 46 has a bad frame but the other one is good. Neither one is running. There is also another set of axles and a set of 15in. powder coated wagon wheels goes with them. $1500 firm for all.”

I nearly bypassed this ad. Then I saw the overdrive. Has a hardtop as well.

These two photos were published in the Sullivan Daily Times on June 6, 1947, which was the three year anniversary of D-Day. One photo shows St. Lo, France, in the summer of 1944. The other, taken from about the same location, shows St. Lo in 1947. After wasting far too much time examine the town via Google Earth, my guess is that the bottom photo was take just below a castle near the victim’s memorial, pointed south with the La Vire River along the right hand side.
This June 3, 1947, ad published in the Sullivan Daily Times, out of Sullivan, Indiana, highlights the ability of the jeep to be an efficient, low-cost option as a road-service vehicle.
