About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Great project Willys. 1961 cj-5 frame and drivetrain. 255 ci V6 engine. ‘48 fiberglass tub. Not perfect but solid. It does need some finish work done. Does not drive but I have had the engine running. It come with two windshields and some misc parts. Thanks for looking.”

“Hello, for sale I have my 1948 Willy’s rat rod. I have put a lot of time and money into this, and just don’t have enough time to finish it up right now. Here’s the story on it.
I bought a 1948 Willy’s Army Jeep, took the tub off and hand it sandblasted. I then purchased original parts for it planning on restoring it to an original army Jeep. So I have special ordered original green military paint for it, original windshield, hood, dash, seat brackets, etc.
I then decided to take the project it a different direction, and purchased a nice 1989 Crown Victoria with 60,000 miles on it, and the Ford 5.0 fuel injected engine. It has coil-over suspension in the front and rear, along with disk brakes. Continue reading →
UPDATE: Tomorrow is Camp Plymouth. They’ve got over 260 sites booked, so it should be good for parts.
This year’s Camp Plymouth-Military Vehicle Collectors of California event April 16-21 will include a Friday jeep showcase that will include pre-1987 military and civilian vehicles.
“Complete frame off restoration on 1946 CJ2A. This is an early column shift. Jeep was taken down to bare metal for a complete nut and bolt restoration. Absolutely every bit of rust was removed. Engine, transmission, differentials, transfer case, brakes etc were all rebuild. New brake lines, new everything.
We used every non wear part and sourced original Willy’s/Jeep parts we could to keep it as original as possible. Correct pasture green color with hand painted wheel stripe just as it was when it came out of Willy’s. I have pictures of the restoration process. This auction includes hard to find rear PTO and Drum pulley implement. Soft top was hand made and includes original top bow set and doors with window surrounds. Your going to be hard pressed to find a finer example of an early 2A. Serious offers only this price is extremely fair and well under what was spent to restore.”
The soft top does’n have the snaps on the body to which it needs to attach. Has a column shifter.
“Nice clean 46 Willys Jeep. Solid. Runs good. So much potential. See this one at Country Classic Cars in Staunton Illinois. Over 600 Vehicles here come on out and see for yourself”
“1947 Willies CJ2A. My Realtor doesn’t allow 3 vehicle and truth be told I no longer want to work on it. The Jeep runs jut fine. There is an oil leak that can be easily fixed, I just haven’t fixed it because it’s been to cold to drive. Other than that the Passenger side window is cracked but can be replaced for $110. Clean Title. There are still a few miscellaneous original gauges that will finish this out but for the most part is 90% complete”
“Well I hate to sell as spring is now hear and I could enjoy but I have bought another car and need the space. This was built I the 70’s and has nice patina. 2wd with 307 Chevy and turbo 350 trans out of a 60’s Chevelle. The top is in good shape but the windows are yellowed has 68 Camaro seats and pads on rear wheel wells. Tilt wheel and a bm shifter and Disc brakes up front. Still needs some cleaning as it had sat a couple years. But I did put on a new carb fresher battery she starts and drives nice. I’m looking for 6,000 obo no trades located 20 miles south of Terre Haute, IN ps the black spots on the hood are stains I did not try to buff them out”
