About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Completely set up for small block Chevy with power steering everything but motor full roll cage no top only reason for selling have to many projects This is a rare find and set up for a quick sale”
“The Jeep has been completely rebuilt. Receipts for the last 30+ years. The 20r engine is great for reliability and gas mileage. Perfect vehicle for cruising around the beach and town. The entire drivetrain was completely rebuilt, so no oil leaks, 5 brand new tires, new springs, steering arms, new Weber carburator, alternator, red top battery, has a winch, and real nice tow bar with wiring for plugging in the lights for towing, new brakes, new seats, inside all bedlined, all new wiring with turn signals, new windshield, new Best Top, new exhaust and headers, never needs a smog certificate, cheap to register and insure, tags paid thru 2020, and no rust! Own a piece of history.
(02/08/2019) MB chassis and body with an extension on the rear.
“Looking to sale an old Willys Jeep I have owned since 2006. This is a project Jeep. The best I can tell it is a CJ2a or CJ3a. I did have the Jeep running at one time. This is a project for someone with time and money. Will need a new starter and radiator for sure. The bed is extended which I was told was for medical use? Comes as is. I bought the Jeep with no paperwork and I cannot find any of the original VIN numbers. Looking for $1,300 cash. I do have multiple Service Manuals and Parts List as well.”

I had this post all completed, then went to add some background information when I discovered that Craig had already added the first page of the patent to his post about the FC-170 Power Hoe. So, lots of heavy lifting in terms of content can be found here, while below you can view the whole patent. I think the illustrations are pretty neat.
UPDATE: Through Fred Coldwell’s “Selling the American Wonder“, Maury learned that this unusual ad featuring the Ford Pygmy was published in the August 18, 1941, issue of Time Magazine.
“I’m currently working on a hand built rock buggy that started life as a 1946 Willys flatfender Jeep. I’m still working on it when time allows but I’m willing to let it go if someone wants to make a decent offer. This project is still a long way from being finished but the chassis is fully welded, suspension is complete minus shock mounts, drivetrain is positioned, engine accessories in place, radiator mount half finished, etc. A lot of tube work, body work, all the small details, and finishing work are still needed. You could say it’s basically a good rolling chassis.
100% of the work up to this point has been done by me over the last several years. The frame is 2x4x0.125 box tubing and the round tube is mostly 1.5×0.120 DOM. The 2” roll cage tubing is HREW I believe. Motor mounts, radiator mounts, most of the suspension link mounts are hand made since I didn’t want to compromise with pre-fab stuff. Continue reading →

Two curiosities about this CJ-6. One, it appears there is a lien on the title. Two, this appears to have the original cover plate where the transfer case levers should be located. It makes me wonder if this was originally a DJ-6. The serial number ought to reveal that.
“1966 Jeep CJ-6, comes with removable Meyer steel half cab hard top, a period correct aftermarket top that makes the CJ-6 into a little pickup. The doors have rolling tempered window glass, and are complete, I believe one hinge needs to be sourced but the setup is otherwise complete.
Vehicle is a complete barn find – correct first year Dauntless crossfire V6, three speed manual, separate transfer case. Rare 60/40 bench option.
Not currently running, what you see is what you get – a fun, simple, rare old project jeep.”
“1950 Cj3A
4cyl flathead with a t90 3 speed tranny
Fresh rebuilt carb
Entire brake system is brand new
New front pinion bearing
Out of dmv system but I have the pink
The Bad:
The previous owner had this motor bored .060 over at a machine shop but did not touch the head. I believe the head is slightly warped and letting water into cylinder 3. If I had the time I would have it machined and have a good running jeep but I have too many projects. This jeep DOES run just smokes because of the head.
2000$ as is or 2500$ with a saturn overdrive unit.
Will be sold on stock wheels and tires.”
