About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: Still Available. This is a buy-it-now price on eBay (or make offer). It is also available on Craigslist.
“For sale is a 1946 CJ-2A Jeep S/N 64484. Jeep is in running condition and is used as an aircraft tug on a daily basis. It is a 1946 so there are many things wrong with it.
Some, but not all, items to note are:
– Rust throughout the jeep
– Lights throughout the jeep are intermittent in operation or not working
– No gas cap
– Engine burns oil
– Brakes seem stiff
– Needs tires
– Leaks oil
Registration available and application for replacement title. Comes with service manual and side door frames.
We are selling this jeep as is. We highly recommend a visual inspection of the jeep prior to purchase. $2500.00/obo”
“For most of us the classic car world is about standing out with some attitude, and it doesn’t get more custom or unique than this. After all a 1949 Willys Wagon is already going to draw a crowd, but when its been fully custom built with a performance V8 and front disc brakes then you will always be the coolest custom everywhere you go.
The handsome, upright wagon body says Jeep as loudly as any modern CJ, and it’s a familiar the world over. But this icon is instantly recognizable as a fully built classic. The Torch Red paint looks great from a distance and you will not need to worry about trailering this baby to your Friday Night Cruise. The old and new world styles combine nicely on the brightwork where the grille, bumper, and cursive Willys scripts combine nicely with the competition style alloy wheels and bright side exhaust tips. It has had a full frame off restoration. Overhauled engine and transmission. Many new parts
speedometer, all new brakes and lines, steering wheel, tires, alternator, window glass, some springs,
shocks and many more. The cab is almost done and the box is not finished. It needs to be prepped and painted.
The reason for selling is I’m in ill health and will not be able to finish,”

“WW2 military army Jeep that someone put on a Suzuki Samurai chassis. I picked this up in a trade and it was not running and unfinished. Everything under the sheet metal is Samurai: engine, trans, transfer case, axles, fuel tank and frame. Has WW2 jeep body, with axe and shovel holders with axe and shovel, spare tire holder, gas can holder, front seats with new cushions, new gauges (need to be hooked up). Has new top and top bows.
“1948 Willys Flat Bed Truck……These Willys are getting more and more rare and this one is in pretty good shape. Motor is an Automatic, Chevy 350 C.U., which fires over very easily with a ton of power. 9 Bolt Ford Rear End. 12 volt system. Lights all work. Jeep has old style pickup wood rails on bed. Windows work good. Doors close tight and solid.”
This has M-151 rims on the rear. I’d examine those front frame rails, too.
