This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 CJ5, clean title, body in great shape, not running, 3 speed, 4cl f-head, front drive shaft not installed, seats and gas tank need to be installed, motor needs tuning, hood needs to be bolted on, windshield needs glass. Non op and runs good. Buick 225 odd fire stroked engine, T90 transmission and T18 transfer case, setup has about 5000 miles since being rebuilt. Dana 44 in rear and Dana 27 with 11″ drum brakes.
Jeep runs, steers and brakes great, all gauges work fine. Jeep need some wiring and body work to finish
up, I am a licensed mechanic and rebuild everything myself, so a phone conversation is best to go over the
engine and running gear.”
It has some updates. The seller listed this as an M-38, but I don’t seeing anything indicating that it’s other than a CJ-3A.
