About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1946 Willy’s Jeep, jeep belonged to my wife’s Grandfather. Tore it down to do a frame up rebuild, just don’t have the time. Original frame was bent/cracked so I replaced it with a frame from a 1950-52 M-38. It has been sandblasted, added new front and rear bumper, front and rear shackle brackets, welded cracks, added new modified left engine mount to match CJ2A engine mount, new engine/transmission mount kit and newer transmission cross member. Brand new suspension includes front and rear springs, frame bump stops, shocks, U-bolts, greaseable shackles and hardware. New tires on original rims, spare rim and original spare tire mount. Front axle model 25, rear axle model 41 (both have been sandblasted), front knuckle’s and all brakes F&R have been removed. Engine is not original (4 cyl from early 60’s with overhead valves). Two transmissions/transfer cases. All original gages, body parts, seat frames, gas tank, tailgate (stamped Willy’s), and grill with original headlamps. Original Jeep manual and reprinted parts catalog.”
Jim is selling his CJ-5. It’s got a ventilating windshield, overdrive, and a Meyer hardtop.
“A 1959 CJ-5. Has a Ford 302 under the hood. 3 speed. Needs a radiator and a battery. Has a Warn overdrive, rare ventilating windshield, hardtop, and 70/30 front seat. Shocks, leaf springs, alternator, and starter has been replaced within the last 100 miles. I hate to sell, but I have no time to finish. Replaced the engine that was in it from a 1971 Mustang. The ford 221 v-8 from a 1962 Fairlane that I removed, was worn out and smoking. Any and all parts I have will go with the sale. I have always wanted to do a full restoration on this one, but work keeps me away from home 11 months a year. It has been sitting under cover for 4 years. Needs minor work to run again.”

When I purchased this brochure on eBay, I didn’t expect it would unfold to such a large size! Even better, I got it using “make offer” on eBay for only $16. Here is how it unfolds:
And then the inside … this one is worth making some posters.
I expect this was a posed photo, Neat nonetheless. I found a second photo online from a different angle (see bottom pic). I was unable to learn if Catherine was someone famous. Anyone know?
“1944 Press Photo WAC Pvt. Catherine Rogers Rides on Jeep in New Guinea. This is an original press photo. WAC Pvt. Catherine Rogers of Boston, Mass., gets a ride in a Jeep soon after her arrival in New Guinea with a small advance contingent of WACs. Aussie Sgt. Len McTavish is her chauffeur, and two natives, who wanted a lift down the road, come along for the ride. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 06-23-1944.”
Jamison let me know that a friend of his has a large number of jeeps and military vehicles for sale. It looks like they are out of Texas. I don’t have time to go through all the links, so I’ll leave the hunting up to you:
