About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Craig spotted this one. There could be some value here.
“The Jeep runs and drives but the brakes will need gone through. The frame has some welded repairs in the spot where these trucks normally rot. It still has the stock flat head Hurricane 6 cylinder motor. I bought it as a project truck a while back and I just have too many other projects. It will need some work done to it but is not a bad base. Im asking 1600. Itd be awesome to see it on the road some day.”
It’s rough and needs work, but does have a PTO and a bed extension.
“For sale is this great Jeep WILLYS, it’s a cj5 model willys 4×4. Wish we had the title but bought it off a good friend who had lost it many years ago. It was running and driving great just a couple months ago, now needs some minor repairs. The radiator is leaking and the starter needs to be replaced. Also needs a new battery and NO BRAKES. We’ve had this jeep for a good while but think it’s time to sell it and let someone else enjoy this fun toy. This model includes a pto that you can attach equipment to or a pump. Also you don’t see too many with the extended box in the back like this one. Does need work but overall an awesome ranch vehicle or great project.”
“I have a 1946 Willys jeep for sale.
Runs well.
Has some body rust (see photos) but overall fairly good condition.
It will need a new set of tires as its been sitting for a while.”
(10/14/2016) This has some national park-looking stickers on both doors.
“1962 Willys Overland wagon, Four-wheel-drive, Flathead 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed on the floor shifter, in solid working drivable condition, very rare, It’s A two door, all seats are there it is said that is it is originally a New Mexico vehicle and spend most of it’s life as a Forest utility vehicle. The owner’s manual is in the glove box along with other vehicle documents lots and lots of patina. Must see to appreciate asking $8,500 cash or trade for a rat rod”
“This is an Antique Farm Jeep from a Farm in Northeast Oklahoma. It was last tagged in 1983. Jeep originally had a metal top on it with doors. Because of this, there is very little to NO Rust out in the floor of the Jeep! Not like most you find!
This Jeep has it’s original seats and instrument cluster and they are good because they have been out of the weather. It also has most of the Engine parts with it all except the Engine Block. Transmission and Transfer Case are still in place. Jeep is very Straight and Original. Not rusted out like so many you find. Tail Gate is original and is 100%. Grill is super straight. Fenders are very good. NO Rust out along the foot hold where you get inside the Jeep. Windshield glass is broken but frame is in very good condition – again-covered by that original top which was removed in September of this year. Continue reading →
In September of 1961, Hot Rod Magazine published this article about the Saleea Al Jemel jeep club’s Sidewinder Cruise (first documented jeep club, formed in 1946) in Southern California. The article covers various V8 upgrades installed in flat fender jeeps, with a focus on Brian Chuchua’s Plymouth V8 install.
Glenn spotted this unusual CJ-5. He tried to contact the seller, but had no luck getting a response. On the back of this is a Marsmith Auguer. Glenn and I couldn’t find out much about it. It appears to have roots in Phoenix, where a company called Dirtrix/Marsmith was located. I’ve included a few extra photos of other CJ-5s that have mar smith augers.
“jeep cj5 with marsmith augor machine. rebuitl motor. amc 6cylinder. everything works. runs great. work horse. have 1 auger. 1000 or best offer”
Other photos of jeeps with Marsmith augers. I don’t know if these are exactly the same or slight variations of the auger that’s on the CJ-5 above.dipos
