About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(04/30/2016) “1953 Jeep CJ-3b Willys. Runs great. Freshly rebuilt original F4 Hurricane Engine with less than 300 miles since rebuild. 4×4 works good. Most electrical works. Little rust. 4-wheel drive works good. 3 speed on the floor. Moving so needs to go soon..”
I recently ordered a biography called Brandy: Our Man in Acapulco as part of some research into DJs at the Las Brisas Resort in Acapulco. I was surprised to see the cover included a color photo, one I’ve never seen, of nine DJ-5 surrey/galas in Las Brisas. There’s an entire chapter on Las Brisas, so I’m hoping for some good research information.
I’ve only gone through the book briefly, but the book credits Brandsetter with taking over Las Brisas in 1959 and turning it into the world’s top resort by 1972. They also claim Frank instituted the resort’s no tipping policy, but that policy was actually implemented by founder Juan March and existed for more than a year before Brandsetter entered the picture as evidenced in a Feb. 28, 1958 Milwaukee Sentinel article. There is an entire chapter devoted to Brandy and Las Brisas, so hopefully there will be some interesting tidbits and research vectors.
“I’m selling this all original, 1967 CJ5 Brush Fire Jeep with its original Buick 6 Cylinder “Dauntless” engine. The body and frame are extremely solid. I personally would do a repaint on it but it is not necessary. As you can see in the pictures it was built with brush fire fighting capabilities which make it rare. 4WD with low and high range. Extremely large and powerful winch mounted as seen in the pictures. Interior in excellent condition. Comes with a plow.
The Mack Bulldog on the front is equipped with a water line controlled from the drivers seat which allows the dog to “p” on people in front of it when the button is depressed. Great for parades, fire company display, farm use or just as a novelty driver. Vehicle starts and runs as it should. There is some work that needs to be done with suspension but currently I drive it on the road. Because of the weight from the special gear and water tank when full these jeeps were built with very heavy duty suspension systemsI have a clear transferable registration ready to go.”

“This is a very original Willys CJ2A. Great patina. It has never been hit, patched or even painted.
Runs and drives great. Perfect windshield and tailgate, body has very minor rust through.
New Coker tires, brakes and a long list of other parts. NOS CJ3B rear seat.
I drive this Jeep around town and it always draws a crowd.
Easy restoration or drive “as-is”.”

“1943 willy’s MB looks mostly original if you like military jeeps . The motor is a F head it’s been changed but it runs . The trans is an original T84 . Taking offers or trades for other vehicles I don’t have the title .”
Needs some work. Of course, those hurricane rims aren’t in fact original.
“Very good condition, nearly no rust. Flathead engine needs valve job. Original wheels. Many new and spare parts. Bonus 4′ X 6′ trailer with with Willy’s/overland tailgate. Sacrifice and must sell, asking $2350 or best offer.”
