About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Press photo that references a “peep” rather than a jeep. It is one of a series of photos showing military maneuvers to demonstrate the Hawaii was safe from attack, even by “hordes of Japanese: soldiers.
“1942- Communications “Peep” set up in a pineapple field during maneuvers in Hawaii.”
For those that enjoy Verne Simmons’ articles, John let me know that he’s published a new one that updates readers on his 1949 Cj-3A. Verne has done numerous articles about work he’s done one the jeep over the past sixteen years.
This appears to be some kind of Christmas photo with the jeep acting as the reindeer for a sleigh prop in the back. No information is included with the photo.
“This is my pride and joy that I built for myself not to flip but now after completing the build I never have time to use it so I finished it 3 years ago and as you can see it has just over a 1000 miles on it and most of that is driving around town!! I have taken it across the Rubicon 3 times and across Fordyce once. I DO NOT trailer it every time, I drive it straight up I-80 thru Lake Tahoe to the Rubicon and back home it is registered street legal although it is pushing it with CHP!! I can tell you that pictures do not do this Willy’s justice you will not be disappointed to see and hear it in person it is very clean and capable of any trail.
No interior shots, but it looks good on the outside.

“i also have a 1947 jeep willy, i do not know a whole lot about this jeep i bought it with big intentions, but i just don’t have the money or time to work on it. it does not run, i do know that the frame is good on it the tub is in ok shape but its defiantly a project, the last guy that owned it which is a friend of the family said he parked it because the brakes went bad on it an i guess gave him a scare so he never fixed it or bothered with it he says the engine is in good shape and has all original parts from what im told . im asking 1400 obo, i seriously need these gone by this weekend so im flexible with the price. ”

“Calling all Vintage Jeep Lovers! This one is a project for just the right person. This vintage jeep was in the process of being redone when the owner died suddenly. The body, transmission, and engine are surprisingly sound. The owner had taken many parts off and had obtained replacements including seats, and electrical wiring, but unfortunately was unable to finish the project. As you can see in the photo, it includes a front tow bar. Again, its a project but great when done! ”
(03/13/2013) “1963 Jeep FC-170 4X4 Truck, runs, has new fluids, new starter, Runs good, needs brake work, everything else works. Have pics if you want some. No bed has PTO, with lockout front axle.”
