About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The slogan is “Dig Deep” Help Buy A JEEP, but there’s no shovel mounted on that particular jeep.
“1943- Jeep in the hotel lobby at the Young Republican Clubs meeting in Albany used to promote the sale of War Bonds and stamps to buy a jeep. Sign on hood reads “Dig Deep – Help Buy a Jeep”.

“good condition. some rust in bed and rocker panels.do have some replacement panels. 350 engine with 350 auto Saturn overdrive. came from fire station truck. been garage kept. will only answer phone calls. no emails or text.”
“1958 4 x4 with winch. Bought out of a warehouse. Been sitting for awhile. I haven’t tried to get it running yet. Needs master cylinder. I’m looking for a good skid steer for trade or best offer.”
Seth spotted this odd former postal-jeep-turned-jeep-rod. Whatever jeep it was you can see the spring hangers are wider than normal, meaning the springs were outboarded. That lends credence to the postal jeep theory, though it means the postal jeep upon which it was based was later than 1950s.
“This Jeep-based creation started out life as a Postal Jeep in the 1950s. At some point, a New Mexico-based artisan took that base and created this custom. It is now fitted with a 230 cubic inch Chevy straight six, agricultural-grade 3-speed manual transmission, and minimal suspension. This extremely low, stiff, home-built creation has a cool aesthetic that falls somewhere between single seat dirt tracker and 1940s tractor. It runs and drives and is sold on a bill of sale.”
“Looking to trade 1954 Willys high hood for 4×4 utility quad or possible firearm. Let me know what you have. I don’t know too much about the Jeep. I was told it ran when it was parked but hasn’t been started in years. It has a dented fender but I have a replacement fender. Clean title in hand. Email or call with any questions.”

“Selling this for someone else. This is the information I have in the ad below. If there is some other piece of information that is needed I can try to find out. Thanks!
1960 Willys Jeep CJ5
Original flathead 4cyl engine
3 speed T90 transmission
2 speed transfer case with front PTO takeoff for original PTO winch, winch not included.
12 volt electrical system
Body rough, numerous dents and some spots of penetrating rust
Will not start right now but it was running when parked (3 years ago) so it shouldn’t take too much work to run again. It probably has bad gas or spark plugs causing current starting issues. Engine always ran well once warmed up. Lights work, but electrical system is bad and will not charge battery. Windshield is broken but it is flat glass so it shouldn’t be too expensive or complicated to replace. No soft top included. Tires show some cracking but continue to hold air even after being parked for several years.
Additional items included:
Extra windshield frame, no glass
Original oil bath air filter, engine currently has aftermarket paper air filter
Replacement metal pan for the rear floorboard/small bed area in the rear of the jeep”
