This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/01/2015) An unusual build with a Kubota diesel engine.
“1949 Willy’s Jeep with a diesel engine. This jeep was completely built with all new parts except for the frame. It has a Kubota V2203 engine. This is a one of a kind build. Over 32,000 invested . No title, bill of sale only. First 15,000 takes it. ”

This 1952 Video by Warner Pathe News follows the M-38 and Diamond Reo M-34 underwater. After these tests, you’d expect Willys would have sold Willys Scuba Gear.

“I don’t have time to keep it running…needs a new daddy…been sitting for a while…only mechanical problem when I parked it was brakes(master and left rear wheel cylinder) and carb(original-the leather accelerator pump kept drying out and cracking)

“52 willys cj3 fuel infected small block ford v8, arb air lockers front and rear 4.56 gears, 4 wheel disk breaks, new 36″ superswampers, 4 speed, Dana 300 transfer case, chrome moly axles. This was used as a toy and can be taken to moab or a Rubicon trail today there are some dents that can be seen in the pictures asking”

Runs, but needs some work.
“1942 Ford Military Jeep. This jeep was purchased by my family right after World War II. We have owned it for over 70 years. It has a flat head Ford 4 cylinder. The Jeep has always resided in Central California. It runs but will need the brakes to be looked at. The brakes worked fine but the Jeep sat for a few years and now they are not working. Should be something simple. It is all original and has minor surface rust. My plan was to restore it but life has changed and I want it to go to someone who will restore it and get some good use out of it such as military parades or whatever interests the jeep brings. Currently I have the Jeep at a friend’s shop in Visalia. If you want to view it call or text me and I will make arrangements for viewing.”
