About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(01/14/2014) This might make a good parts vehicle or more.
“Vehicle is all there except rear fenders. Got hit by a tree in the bed and it needs recycling. Tranny and engine were rebuilt but seized now. Windshield cracked, some rust, on rubber, can be towed.”
“I have a 1953 cj3b for sale. No motor or transmission. Body is rough frame and both axles are in good working order. Right front leaf spring is missing. Grille is in good shape. Missing one gage out of the dash. Steering column and box are good. Selling for parts only. No title. ”
“1948 Jeep Willys, 307 GM Rebuilt Motor, frame and chasse restored, dana transmission cleaned and checked, new shocks, brake drums, shoes, cylinders and brake lines. New wiring harness kit, gas tank, steering wheel and horn kit. Lots of extra parts are still in their boxes.”
(04/20/2014) Given the winch, the rims and other parts, there’s some value here.
“This is a good Jeep worth fixing. It ran and drove but has been sitting a while. The body is rough but fixable, the frame is good, and the 4×4 works. Engine should start with a battery and gas but no promises. It leaked coolant at the thermostat last time it ran. It will need carb work to idle properly. No brakes. They used to work but pedal now goes to the floor. Has a newer radiator in it.
231ci Buick v6 swapped in from a ’81 Regal. Original trans and transfer case. 2″ lift leaf springs. 15×10″ wheels with old 35″ tires. Good winch, good clutch, good top, good windshield, decent roll bar.”
The seller describes this as a ‘low hood project’ in the title. No pics provided.
“CJ3A Low Hood Jeep. lots of exteras from frame up. engine, trans, body, running gear- steering, springs, brakes, axels. frame electo plated, seating etc. etc.
to much to list in detail. running gear all together. Body is solid mostly ready for paint, needs the finishing touches. Please call only if interested for details, The price is firm far more invested. Calls”
This runs, but needs a battery. Body is fiberglass.
“I have a 67 CJ-5 for sale. I had to buy this vehicle to obtain the one I really wanted. I’m 6 ft 4 in and too big to drive this comfortably.I have done nothing to it. It has a fiberglass body with original metal hood. A Dauntless V-6. 3 speed tranny, new tires and rims, new dual exhaust, a plow, frame is solid and painted, speedo works and shows 42,831 miles. I think the roll bar is for a CJ-7, has high back buckets, I did purchase a hard tin/metal top with glass windows and both metal doors with crank windows. Jeep is painted gun metal grey, top and doors are army green and top has lift back window. I drove it home and drove it once more to get the plow blade. That was almost two years ago. It had no battery when purchased and I used mine to drive it. So no battery in it. Put extra Stabil in tank with fresh gas, and fresh antifreeze then also. Asking $6000 OBO. Have more pics. None of top and doors yet. Email geno34bg@gmail.com. located in Custer, OH. NW Ohio”
