About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This is an all original Willys Flat Fender Jeep. It has an original flat head four cylinder engine. It is a great little Jeep that has been fun to drive. It has the original gearing in the axles, so it tops out at 45-50 mph, but it does great on the trails. It has a clear AZ title. I can have more pictures on request. I’m asking $2500.00 OBO. I can deliver it for mileage compensation.
It’s too old for a car history report, so don’t ask for one. It’s a 67 year old piece of history. It doesn’t have a top, and no heater. For an additional $1000 I’ll throw in a second mostly complete flat fender for parts. I have titles for both.”

“1975 American Motors Jeep DJ5
6 cylinder
Auto transmission
Good tires
Very little rust
Clean title
All in all a solid little rear wheel drive jeep.
First two pics are actual of the jeep. Other two are examples of what it could be restored to.
Tons of possiblities with this one. She purrs like a sewing machine. $1200 cash drives her home.”
“For Sale. 1948 Willys Jeep CJ-2a. Project, was professionally restored in the early 80’s but needs some attention. Ran and drove well when it was parked 2 years ago. Been under cover(garage or carport) it’s entire life. No rust, floor is solid, paint is ok. Needs some minor mechanical work but has a 12v system. Is a great classic jeep that has been in the family for years, we just don’t have time for a project. Please email or call with any additional questions.”
“looking to sell a ’48 willys cj2a flat fender has a clean title and collector plates. not running, but can run with minor work such as installing a battery, checking all connections both fuel and electrical(not many electrical seeing how there are no computers) and replacing all fluids. can drive with some time and work. it has a bumper mounted tow bar for easy towing. it has a ford 302 small block v8, and sits on 31 inch wildcat ext tires on dana 44 rear and 28A front and a dana spicer model 18 transfer case. I also have a holly carb that was never used in box. i also have an overdrive for it in a box although its not put together. the entire floor is lined with boat carpet. there is minor rust but it has never seen the beach or salt water so its less than most old cars you see up here. the front seats require new hold down hardware and the bikini top could be more secure.”
Hugh wrote me a couple days ago. He was excited to share his barn find jeep, a 1943 MB that had sat for forty years. Nick Oxender actually found the jeep and told Hugh about it. I wanted to share the jeep with everyone as evidence that barn finds still exist, even in the midwest!
Hugh wrote, The jeep is rust free and original and not too bubba-ed up. It has all three seat frames and four combat rims with almost new tires. The switches and controls on the dash are present and it is only missing the parking brake handle.
It runs and drives well, but has a post war engine. The original insulation is on the firewall and the filterette and it came with the original radiator with the horsehair insulation. The original crossover tube, air cleaner and fuel strainer are still there. It also has the original oilfilter and bracket. Someone just switched out the engine and left the T-84 trans and WW2 components alone.
I will be watching for an mb engine but it drives just fine right now. i don’t plan on an extensive restoration, just paint markings, a canvas top and an engine swap. I plan to preserve it. There is a patch right over the transfer case that i believe covered a hole where it had a PTO operated generator. Judging by the extra holes, ground straps and suppression devices, I believe it was a radio jeep. i am very pleased with this piece of history. Oh yeah, it needs a front bumper and that crazy hitch on the back removed as well, but its a very original rust free example of a ww2 jeep.
“Women will love you and kids will want to be like you while you are driving this classic. 350 chevy small block bored 30, Edelbrock intake and carb, Sanderson headers, power steering and power brakes. Converted to 2 wheel drive. Runs awesome. Less than 5,000 miles on engine. Kept in a garage.”
“This vehicle was restored by WWII veteran and used in parades when we bought it. It was meant to be a fun “driver”. We used it primarily in the mountains of Pennsylvania (Sullivan County) to ride mostly paved roads but also on dirt backroads during the summer and in “Jeep Rallys”.We have had so much fun with this one but my wife bought a newer (2011) and I’ve decided to sell this to work on my 1950 Jeepster. People love it and always want their picture with it. It would also be a great Patriotic attraction for a business. The top is rarely used but fits and seals well. We are selling without reserve for much less than we have in it and hope it finds a good home for someone who appreciates it.”
“1975 DJ5 mail truck for sale. It is in very good condition, has no rust and new stereo system. The engine and transmission were rebuilt in 2001 and has had alot of work done to it in the past. All the parts are interchangeable with the CJ5 jeep .I bought two of these from a father and son both of whom work for the USPS. They were both passionate about keeping these running after the post office replaced them with newer models.
It comes with a log book that shows all the work that has been done and even what may need work.”
