Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I don’t remember these toys in the old Sears Catalogs. The cover has a jeepish sort of vehicle.
“GILBERT RIDE-EM ERECTOR BOXED SET 15x21x5.5 deep box contains complete.From 1965. Box has creases, some missing surface paper.
Still displays Fine. Box lid and instructions show 5 different vehicles to be built including jeep, sports car, 3-wheel scooter, runabout and tractor. Instruction sheet has partially darkened with age
Instructions has been torn, all due to age. and wear and use!! This is an incredible Rare Erector Building set. 47 going on 48 Years OLD !!! SUPER VINTAGE !!! FOR ALL TOY COLLECTORS
This is the Ultimate Building Set, Builds, 5 different vehicles, all PARTS are accounted for. Box, shows wear, as shown on pictures. Please look at all pictures and message me any questions.
Obviously if this was Complete Mint from 1965 it would be worth thousands and thousands, probably not even have a known value. However these are rare and hard to find in any condition.
In 1965 A.C Gilbert Company went bankrupt in 1967, so with the financial issues, they didn’t make a massive run of production on sets before than.”

“This is a 1955 Willys Overland-Wagon !!! It has a 327 Chevy Engine, Edelbrock High Rise Manifold and 4 Barrel Carburetor, and has a 350 Automatic Transmission. As you can see the body is in very good shape, and Interior is Good. The Engine runs and has a new water and fuel pump, plugs, wire’s and coil. New Exhaust, New Tires and Rear End. These vehicles were built from 1946 to 1965 and there were only something like 300,000 built. They were used for both Military and Civilian uses. True Odometer Mileage Unknown.”

This is a project.
“I am trying to sell my 1946 willys jeep cj2a. I have about 3200$ invested in it and the time has come that I just need to get rid of it. It has a 350/sm465/np205 with full width axles that are Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear. It has a warn xd9000i winch that goes with it the tires are 33×12.50r15 super swamper tsl thornbirds that are about 30-40%. The 350 was just gone trough and cleaned up 2.02 heads with roller rockers were put on it with an edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb the trans shifts really solid and the trans was just cleaned up also. It is a project for sure all the main pieces are there and it will come with a set of 4 Cherokee coils to switch the suspension from leafs to coils front and rear it needs this because the rear axle has been moved back about 8″ to make room for a longer rear driveshaft. It will need a starter, wiring harness, seat belts, links with heim joints, drivelines, and a radiator so it’s only about 1000-1500$ away from being a driver and I am in school and can’t afford this at the time”
