About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Late 40s early 50s m38/ cj3a jeep. Very solid older repro tub. Runs great. Almost no rust at all. Rebuilt carb. Has about a two inch lift. Front seats are very good. Includes a complete pro winch that just needs drive shaft installed. Has a vintage kayline spare tire carrier. Has a mass title. Does not include rims and tires in the picture or the back seat. It will come with the original 16 inch rims and tires.”
Thursday and Friday were the last two days of the trip and consisted mostly of driving home to Pasco.
On Thursday June 20th we drove from Kearney to Salt Lake City. On Friday June 21st we drove from Salt Lake City to Pasco.
On Thursday morning we woke in Kearney and got driving early. Our plan was to stop and meet Karson and his team an hour west of Kearney. Karson and his FEMACorp team was heading east from Oklahoma at the same time we were heading west on I-80. So, we found a good place to stop and take a picture together. I know it looks like he is taller than me, but I’m pretty sure that’s an optical illusion.
After our quick meet, we drove to Salt Lake City, arriving in the evening and in time to have some fish tacos at the Lone Star Taqueria with my other kids, Kasia and Colter. We spent Thursday night in Salt Lake City.
On Friday morning we left for Pasco, arriving in the evening. The trip was amazing, a one-in-a-lifetime adventure where numerous things–Jeeps, wurlitzer, Karson, and friends–all lined up to make it unforgettable. Thanks to everyone who hosted us, met us, dined us, and gave us suggestions.
After 10,000+ miles over 49 days it’s time to rest.
MIke’s from Oxford England. He rebuilt this formerly rotted 1979 CJ-5 Levi’s Edition. He wrote,
This is my own Jeep that I did a complete restoration on 14 yrs ago. It only ever comes out on sunny days which over here is rare. It is an original 304 Renegade with the blue Levi’s seat trim. It was totally rotten when I bought it so I totally stripped it all down and rebuilt it nut and bolt. The body was beyond repair but a sourced a company in Ohio called at the time Willys Overland. They had bought up all of the end of line stock from jeep including original body panels with the Jeep pressed in. I flew over to check it all out and they supplied me with a totally original but brand new jeep tub, I believe now that the CJ 5 panels are all gone. Everything is stock except for the wheels and the blue paint,it was originally blue but not metallic.the Olympic thing I havnt done is put reproduction renegade decals back on.

Bob’s jeep had about this much jeep left. Some used leftover parts and created something neat. I think that has some potential.
“1946 Jeep, Willy’s Overland, CJ2A. Serial No. 68995. Starts and runs good. Need Bonded Title. The brakes need wheel cylinders replaced. Original L-head Engine. Had a rod bearing replaced-runs smooth. New 6-volt battery. Good fuel tank. Transmission and transfer case shifts smoothly. 4 tires – just okay. The bench seat, is the back seat out of a suburban. Great for Ranch or just fun running around. This Jeep is BEAUTIFUL, but only in the eyes of the beholder!”
