Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. You don’t see an original push bumper on a DJ very often.
“1958 willys 2wd. runs good. rebuilt carb with a new 6 volt battery. flathead four cylinder with a three on the tree shifter. needs electrical and brakes to be a reliable driver. was a push vehicle at a transmission shop in Monterey Park for many years. I am the third owner of this vehicle. Very clean and totally rust free. You don’t see very many 2wd willys in this condition. You will not be disappointed”
Emergency lights? Maybe this was a brush truck?

This appears to be a DJ. It’s set up for 2WD, has the short windshield, and has no gas inlet.

(09/17/2014) Lots or original jeep accompanied with floor rust. It doesn’t run.
“I HAVE A 1946 WILLYS CJ-2A FARM JEEP. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL. IT HAS THE REAR POWER TAKE-OFF WITH A BELT DRIVE DRUM. THIS JEEP IS NOT RUNNING. IT HAS A FLAT HEAD ENGINE. THE JEEP HAS A GOOD BIT OF RUST IN THE FLOOR PANS AND THE TOOL BOX IS RUSTED OUT. THIS JEEP HAS MATCHING FRAME, TUB, AND TITLE NUMBERS. I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE. THE FRAME IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE CROSS OVER PIPE FROM THE CARB. TO THE AIR CLEANER IS MISSING. THE TUB IS IN PRETTY FAIR SHAPE WITH RUST THRU AT THE USUAL PLACES.”
