Here’s a neat old box, but it doesn’t include the model.
Wanted: MB or GPW Project
Daniel Flanagan is located in the UK and is hoping to find a MB or GPW project. If anyone thinks they have a project that would interest him or think they can help out, email me or comment below and I’ll hook you up with him.
1946 CJ-2A Fredonia, NY **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Looks solid. It’s got the wrong grille for a ’46, but that’s minor.
“Own a piece of postwar history! This restored CJ2-A is ready to parade the streets of your neighborhood. I have been the curator of this rolling museum for over a decade and due to some recent life changes, it is now time to pass the baton. As with any old Jeep there is always something to tinker with; but this Willys is road ready. Please call or text with questions. Thank you for looking.”
1950 CJ-3A Norway, ME $8900
Looks in great shape.
“1950 original M38 Willys Jeep. Restored frame. All parts sand blasted painted or new. The engine runs great with a Solex carburetor and a 6 volt system. A spare tire is included. Please call with questions.”
1948 CJ-2A Terrytown, NY **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Seller’s description looks thorough.
“Up for auction is a 1948 Willys CJ2A “Universal” Jeep. It starts every time with a simple pull on the choke and a twist of the key, even after sitting for months and moves on down the road like it should. This is a joy to take for a ride and always turns heads and gets honks and waves. The only reason I am letting it go is I need the garage space and I couldn’t abide keeping it outdoors, even for a night.
When I purchased it from the family of the original owner recently, the vehicle had undergone an almost complete restoration including painting of the body, frame and motor, replacement of the wiring harness, new vinyl on the seats and new rubber on the wheels. It retains its original motor and transmission. Additionally an overdrive kit was added. It was repainted in its original Luzon Red with Universal Beige trim.
1960 Wagon Riverside, CA **SOLD**
**SOLD** Was $6498
“Great 4 wheeler! Orange & white with black & grey interior; four reclining bucket seats; new carpet; Four speed with granny gear; winch runs off PTO; custom wheels with off road tires. Huge tail gate for lunch on the trail. 4 High & Low work great. Runs great! Priced to sell!”
1948 CJ-2A Castleton, NY $1200
UPDATE: Price dropped to $400.
(05/05/2014) Clutch needs replacing.
“Probably restorable but not by me. Just put a new head gasket in…good compressoin now. That was one of the reasons I parked it 2yrs ago, the other reason was the clutch and that still needs to be replaced. Rubber is good enough to tow someplace close.”
1965 Flattie Whitmore Lake, MI **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
Listed as a CJ-3B, this jeep has a CJ-3B VIN plate. I’m not clear what else is part of the original CJ-3B.
“Up for sale is my CJ3B Jeep. 10k in new parts on her. It’s a V6 3 Speed 4×4. New Tires, New Top, has a brand new bikini top to go with it. Runs excellent. Motor was rebuilt a while ago, along with a transmission rebuild and transfer case rebuild. Rhino Liner in the interior and exterior, very clean. Has explosion-proof gas tank, brand new seats, removable rear seat. Center console is weather proof and lockable and has a radio in it. Starts easy, runs great. My loss is your gain. 9800 miles showing on the odometer, not sure if it is true or not.”
1948 CJ-2A Brighton, CO **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3300.
Looks like the seller was testing paint schemes on the windshield frame?
“Hunters special! Starts right up, runs great, original jeep 4 cylinder.
Includes new bikini top and tow bar. Heavy duty winch.”
2 1946 CJ-2A Ottawa, IL $1500
There’s some value here. Neither project runs.
“I am selling two early CJ2A projects with a ton of extra parts. There is enough parts to build both jeeps and have extras left over. I have a rebuilt Buick V6 with the adaptors and motor mounts that cost me almost as much as I am asking for both jeeps. There are titles for both. One has the PTO on the trans. One is an early column shift. There are extra hoods, fenders, tailgates and more. One has the frame for a soft top, and one has an aluminum hard top with doors. As you can see in the pics, these are projects that do not run. Willing to consider trades.”
