About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I had updates scheduled to go out early on Monday morning, but they didn’t appear (related to changes I made to reduce resource use on my current server … grrrr). So, I’ve just pushed them out manually tonight.
Meanwhile, tonight my internet is down. So, I spent time researching and then playing around with the cover to my new book. Everything on the cover could change — title, subtitle, arrangement, my pseudonym, colors — I’m just working it through. Mom’s read the first draft and really enjoyed it. But, hey, it’s my mom. For fun here’s the book front cover draft, and I emphasize draft. Still lots of work left before its ready.
Here’s another brochure from the industrial equipment book.
“Up For Bid Is A Super Nice 1950s Monroe Fire Lane Plow & Pumper Unit Sales Brochure for Willys Jeep Vehicles . This Brochure Came From A Large Collection Of Super Nice Vintage Brochures. These Are Getting Harder To Find For Jeep,Meyers Ect. Please Check Out My Other Auctions For Hard To Find Brochures. This Brochure Is Super Nice With No Rips Or Wrinkles But Does Have Holes Punched And Very Very Handling Dirt (SEE PICS). Theses Brochures Were Only Available To Dealers Only.”
Lycoming developed a generator/starter for planes that fit in the back of a jeep. I am guessing that this ad is probably from an aviation magazine, because I found an article about the Lycoming generator in the 1952 Aviation Weekly. Unfortunately, I could only view a snippet of it in Google. There is also a discussion of it at the CJ-3B Page.
This is a slightly different Go-For-Digger Brochure than I’ve seen. Here the two others I’ve seen: a blue version and a green version.
“A 4 page 3 hole punched Go For Digger Trenching Machine Brochure. Catalog number 8162. In fine condition. With photos, specifications and more. Circa 1960’s”

German made Pinto 2000 CC engine? Looks more like a Ford Pinto 2000 CC engine to me. How about that updated side step, too?
“Willys Jeep- original non restored condition except has been converted to Pinto power- 2000cc German made engine. Runs and drives, but needs work. Needs lights, windshield, bell crank, brakes sticky,”
It looks like the firewall has been fiberglassed? Or, maybe that’s just paint?

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200. This was for sale earlier this year. It appears to have a new owner who is selling it.
(02/16/2012) It runs, but has rust.
“For Sale is a 1957 Willys Jeep FC150 or Forward Control 150, serial number shows that this is the 68th one made out of only around 30,000 units made bewteen 1957 and 1964.
Runs and drives, 4WD, 3 speed manual, 2 speed, single stick transfer case, 4 cylinder engine (Hurricane 4 I believe,) I believe it has around 24,xxx miles. has engine driven hydraulic pump and lines still attached. Did have snow plow attached before I bought it.
Tires are dry rotted but hold air, have tubes in them but will need to be replaced soon. The transfer case does shift into all ranges but the front hubs need to be replaced, the front driveshaft spins but the hubs don’t engage. I bought it this way
and never had the time to replace them. Needs driver side window replaced, all the guts are there and you can get a window cut at any auto glass store in town. Needs a lot of body work, paint, weatherstripping, etc. Basically needs to be restored.
The headlights, tail lights and beacon on top all work but wiring was cobbled together by previous owner. Could use a new battery as well, and a choke cable. Hard starting in the winter, carb needs rebuilt but will throw in a rebuild kit that I bought. I will include the front bumper that is in the back and the big gas can as well. This is a rare truck and a good project,
however is not roadworthy so you will need to bring a trailer. Selling due to relocation out of state. Has a title and will throw in a service manual as well. Asking $1200 obo”
