About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1942 Willys Jeep, model D3, rare find. Told that it was the first mail truck in N.C. It needs total restoration , needing engine and transmission. etc. It a great restoration piece. It has a original metal roof and original suspension and drive axles. Two wheel drive.”
This rare game was listed earlier this month at a live auctioneers.com. It didn’t sell. I contacted the auction company and was told the consigner isn’t sure whether they will list it again or not. You can also learn more about the Jeep Board at the CJ-3B Page.
“Rare first edition the only one I can find is in a museum The Jeep board a second World War period board game produced by the George S Carrington Company of Chicago Illinois usa in 1943 The game is complete with its original components comprising box rulebook and pegs”
“Original illustration (painting) on board (not paper). See blue ruler and oatmeal container to estimate size. It’s LARGE, and in nice shape! Probably done for a 1960s or 1970s men’s magazine.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was listed at $3490. Serial number 14984.
The seller lists this as a 1947, but this is a ’46.
“Selling my black plate 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2a, it’s an early model with the rare column shift. Original color beige.
I have brand new parts for about 1000$, still in the box that comes with it.
The car is unmolested, very original, very little rust.
Comes with two sets of wheels, the original size and a slightly bigger size.
Try to take some pictures today.”
“1952 Willys, 4 new tires, working gauges, 3 speed, no top but have support bars to put on top, no doors, seats 4 with seat belts, brakes and engine in good condition, stored and covered in garage in winter, unique features: machine gun mounting holes, ammunitions box, original tire for spare. Fun to drive with lots of stares, compliments, and comments. ”
“This is a last edition 1953 CJ3A Jeep. A good driver condition, not show quality, a twenty footer. Body has been off frame, repaired by welding in non original panels, and painted low quality. All stock drive train, still 6 volt, runs well, goes well. Its been inside storage about 4 years so probably needs some attention from sitting. A real fun Jeep for small price.”
