About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(04/07/2012) This looks like a DJ Body and other parts that are definitely not MB.
“1944 Jeep Mb Willys, has a 4 cylinder flat head, it runs good. it has been converted from a 6 volt to a 12 volt. Body is in good condtion, almost no rust, has fiberglass patches. has a frame welded around body, and inside the body for more protection. Has an Aluminum gas tank, I have title in hand. My first ‘official’ reviewer, from Arches Magazine, took a look at Finding Virginia and had nothing but good things to say about it. I’m very happy about the review and hope it leads to more sales! The review was long and detailed. Here is the final paragraph, which sums up the review well, even capturing one of my favorite poems, Robert Frost’s The Road Not Taken:
Here are some interesting jeep comics Buz found. They were published in Pocket War Comics. Pocket War Comics were published in Britain and, as the name suggest, were pocket sized. I tried to find more information about them, but didn’t have any luck.
“I have a small pile of NOS Willys parts ranging from the 1940’s to 1950’s. there are a total of 66 different part numbers , and 225 plus total parts by count. also included are 5 parts catalogs . I have a list of all the part numbers. the parts are assorted engine, suspension and misc small parts. there is no sheet metal, body parts, or anything bulky. the parts are in SW Minnesota. delivery to the Mpls area is offered, with the stipulation that half the money be paid in advance (non-refundable) and the balance due at time of delivery. any further questions, call 507-327-9544 thanks”
“1961 Willys jeep, starts and runs good.Jeep has no brakes and lots of rust!!Repeat lots of rust !!!Frame is solid but body is very rusty! It was on my farm for years and I do not have a title or registration for it! Did I say it was rusty? 1500.00 or best offer or trade”
“This Willys CJ3B is mostly original except for the engine, which is a rebuilt 231 V6 that runs great. It has a T90 three speed transmission and Dana 18 transfer case. One downside is that the transmission needs some work . The tires are in good shape and the stock axles have 5:38 gears. The body is in very good condition as is the windshield glass. This is a good, solid project with a lot of potential that already has a good start — mostly just needs some tinkering. Don’t really need to sell , but don’t have the time for it, and maybe someone else can enjoy this old gem.”
“I HAVE THIS 1952 M38 MILITARY JEEP FOR SALE. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM WINTER TOP WITH DATA PLATE, ORIGINAL MC ENGINE, RADIATOR. BRAKES DO NOT WORK. THE ENGINE RUNS WITH NO SMOKE BUT HAS A RATTLE FROM THE TAPPETS. I DO HAVE A CLEAR TITLE FOR THIS JEEP. I CAN SEND MORE PICTURES UPON REQUEST.”
“Have a 1947 Willys CJ2A up for grabs. It’s a bit of a project, but a LOT better than some of these you find.
First off, the carburetor is fouled up so it will not start. It cranks find, but will not fire. If this is an issue, close the ad.
Buick 350 V8
Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission
Twin Stick Transfer Case
Upgraded Axles with electronic lockers(price the eaton e-locker) Rear is a D44 or D60, not sure which. Previous Owner said 60. Not sure of the front.
Upgraded to Front Discs
Basic Rollcage
Seats have been modified for larger drivers
Dual Gas tanks
Warn 8000lb Winch
Almost brand new 33″ Pro Comp tires + Spare with nubs still on it
6″ Black Diamond Lift
Manual Steering
Brand new battery.
All lights work, if running should pass inspection. No emissions!
This Jeep needs finishing, but not a ton. The body is straight, with only surface rust in a few places. Mostly chrome trim.
The Lockers, Winch, and tires are worth most of my asking price.
Very much interested in trades for more modern Jeeps(cherokee, cj5, cj7, yj, etc). Or cash in hand. Serious buyers can get my phone number via email.
I will be 100% upfront on this to the best of my abilities. Feel free to ask any questions, make an offer, etc.
I am not forced to sell this, just want to fund other projects.”
