Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Glenn shared this set of early CJ-2A plates. I can’t tell if a serial number had been stamped into the center plate or not. These may or may not be VEC plates.

“I have the dash data tags from a very early cj2a. These tags are from a rare willys cj2a that used a modified military mb frame from the factory. The jeep has been parted out.”
The blue CJ-2A is likely a 1946.

“I have 2 1947 WILLYS Jeep, well I have the title for one so 1 with title, 1 for parts. They are both complete, but my plan was to use the frame off one, body off other. I have had these for awhile and my plans have changed and I know I will not complete this. They are projects! What will it take to make them road ready? Depends on what you want! They do not run, but the one motor turns over, other use to, but not sure now! I took the fender off to replace the steering column and never put it back on. Only thing missing to make 2 complete is seats, steering column and small stuff. I’m asking 2000, but will take a reasonable offer,I believe this is a very fair price considering I have a title, now with that I have not put it in my name, but will or give the paperwork needed for you to do. My plan is to get them cleaned out and possibly moved from where they are,but not sure if I will, I feel it doesn’t matter much cuz they are PROJECTS!!! they are located in Alcolu SC”

“$6500 or take best offer. Colorado title 1960 CJ6 a little more room than the CJ5 runs, stops, shifts, has L4 2.2 motor, 4×4, all works great. Heater wipers gauges lights all working no issues. CB radio. Driver floor repaired and bed lined. Comfortable seating Newer wheels and tires. bondo on the lower rockers could be fixed. This is a very good daily driver and fun to drive. Will make a great hunting vehicle, farm vehicle or complete restore or drive it the way it is. Did a lot of work on this Jeep to make it a daily. No hurry to sell so really no hurry to take a poor offer. Comes with jerry cans for the back bumper and a front tow bar if you want to tow it long distance”
