About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Almost restored to original. Missing the rear bow holder at the very least.
“1948 Willys CJ2A that has been totally restored to original 1948 glory. Everything has either been rebuilt or replaced with new parts. 200 miles on rebuilt motor and new transmission and tires. Very nice jeep! $12,000 OBO.”
“1960 Willys Jeep CJ5 $ 650.00 Clear Wisconsin title 4 cyl engine. Very rare original top. 15″ tires. Two radiators 99% complete. Front original bumper. Original seats. Always had top on. Headlight buckets and covers are in a box. Repairable.”
Dexter is listing his trailer for sale. He has lots of pictures of it.
“I bought this gem months ago. It is unrestored, unmolested and in IMMACULATE original condition. Must see to believe. When I bought it, there was a thin coat of civvy paint, which came right off with repeated wipes of a wet rag. Under that is a coat of OD, which looks like it was put on 30+ years ago, and then the original OD. The shiny parts that you see are the areas where I applied some linseed oil.
The Good
– Original, unmolested, no-rust, solid body
– Original fenders (from another 1943 Bantam)
– Original data plate
– Original lunette
– Original 3-hole swivel
– Original leg
– Original chains, hooks, and wedges
– Original drawbar
– Original handbrake (works great)
– Original drain plug
– Original BO switch (from another 1943 Bantam)
– Original reflectors (faded side reflectors came from another 1943 Bantam)
– Original 1963 California black plate with PTI sticker
– Current DMV registration to my name
The not-so-good
– M38 rims
– Original 3-hole swivel is broken (I still have it, and it’s fixable. Currently on the trailer is a solid T3C leg, with a solid 2-hole swivel. It matches the paint of the trailer perfectly.)
– Original fenders were modified and are no longer with the trailer (As noted above, I’m including a set of original fenders from a 1943 Bantam. Layers of civvy paint just needs to be removed)
– Some remnants of the original wiring
– Additional holes added on rear crossmember due to bumperettes being installed
– One tail light bracket is not original
– No original tail lights
– One tiny hole on the front-driver-side corner”
“1947 WIllys CJ2A for fun project or parts. Bought as is a year ago and just can’t get to it. Great project for someone with the time. If you are looking for something to make stock again… This ain’t it!
1977 ford 4-cylinder motor
Aftermarket overdrive installed
No seats, no glass in windshield. Patched and re-welded in multiple area. This is a project car or good for parting out.
Don’t know when it ran last but no gas line connected and wiring needs reworking before you could try.
No title.
Still looks awesome”
“Own a piece of history. Parade ready 1942 Ford Military Jeep GPW2347. Original four-cylinder in-line L-Flathead, 134.2 cubic inches ratio of 6.38 to 1. The transmission is a three-speed manual synchromesh Warner T-84J model with a floor-mounted shifter. Spicer 18, two-speed 4X4 transfer case. This is a stunning example of a collector owned (20+ years) icon, very original with full top, both ½ doors and full doors, PLUS an original military trailor, jack, helmets, shovel, axe, 2 extra spare tires, military back packs, and more. Drives GREAT and dependable. Now on display at the home of “over the top cars””
“1946 willys jeep has brand new 38 in tires a Chevorlet 327 canister motor has stock willys trans and transfer case this jeep is built rite could be driver with couple minor fixes never seen mud or bad weather if intrested”.
Original Renegade stripes and color (though faded). I believe the rims are original too. However, the bumper looks like a swim ramp.
“Must have for rock climbing!! This jeep has only 41,000 original miles on it. Put a new fully enclosed BEST top on it now a year old. Runs great does need some TLC. Minor rust spots, carb. could use a cleaning, other minor fix-ups. We bought as a project car from original owner and don`t have the time it deserves. This is one great collectors item they don`t have any like this around.
