About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This doesn’t appear to be a VEC, but I can’t tell for sure. This might be a good price.
“Too many projects!!! This old classic has the original 4 cylinder L-Head it is missing the starter motor so i really couldnt tell you if it runs. This would be a fun project and toy for those jeeps enthusiasts!”
It’s missing the body and the motor is disassembled.
“As the title said it a 47 willys minus body. Motor is been takin apart but all is there. Transmission transferable axles and drive shafts are all still all hooked up and work.”
“1951 WILLYS JEEP 4×4 with original 4 cylinder engine that runs good, 31x 10.50 super swamper tires with 75% or better tread this jeep was used as hunting jeep on hunting lease until the lease was sold. It has a title and can be yours for a price of $2000.00 or obo.
This was a hunting jeep and looks like one if you want a daily driver or a show jeep buy this one and put some money in it and you can have one.”
“Original 6 volt system. Upgrades include: new brakes, shocks and lock-out hubs. Recently installed spare tire rack, not in picture. Has built in tool box. Runs great and is ready for the lease or ranch! Price is firm and fare for a Jeep Willys of this quality at $3,500. Can be seen in Gatesville, TX. I suggest you bring a trailer for transport to your house or ranch. The tires are great for the pasture but not good for the street. Will respond to email or call TWO 5 FOUR-6 FOUR 4- FIVE 6 THREE 7. Please no scams.”
This restored CJ-5 is listed over at sellajeep.com. This does include a windshield, though it isn’t shown in the pictures.

Dan continues to make good progress on the reconstruction of his grandfather’s CJ-5. Below, Dan shares both the latest images and images from 20 years ago, with him driving. If you don’t remember the non running, poor condition of the jeep, you can view the early restoration pics here. Thanks Dan and keep going! And, I promise I’ll up there sometime this summer to collect the beer you offered 🙂
This past weekend Pete, from the Old Willys Forum, drove down to the 2nd Annual Willys Moab Rally 2011 put on by Casey Dimmitt. He reports that they had plenty of fun and wished they could stay longer. Pete put this video together (I think to make us all jealous so that we’ll join them next year!). Thanks for sharing Pete, I love that area!
