About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I spent a little time going through the IMCDB website to see how correct some of the jeep identifications were. As I was going through the different jeeps, I spotted this stainless steel flattie, something I’ve never seen in a movie. I have also never heard of the Movie “Laure”.

“Rolling Chassis of what appears to be either a 1947 or 1948 Willys CJ2A. The chassis has been modified by previous owner to use 8 Cylinder engine so front area has unoriginal modifcations to accomodate larger engine. (i.e. cross member is not original, engine mounts are not original). Chassis has other issues – delamination of top and bottom straps on passenger side frame, crossmember brackets on frame have been modified.
Really selling for running gear, chassis parts – front bumper, rear cross member and tranny and transfer case. Tranny is a T-90 but it has been modified to fit onto an 8 cylinder engine, it appears that the main shaft is extra long to fit into larger engine. also has adapter on tranny for 8 cylinder engine bell housing.
Wheels and pintel hook on jeep do not go with it. I will supply non-original wheels and tires for transport. Sold as is, no guarantees, no returns. Local pickup only. No sales outside US. No scams, no trades no checks.”
Steve’s is listing this body in case someone wants it. This is saveable, but will take some work.
“Looks to be a 1952 Willys M38 original body. No body tag number – so guessing at year based on certain features, i.e. data tags get mounted on plate rather than directly on dash.
This body is about to go to the scrap heap – so I figured I’d offer here before cutting up. This body needs new front floor section and new hat channels. Body has a lot of bondo on it and very unprofessional body work throughout. Also has been chopped a little near front firewall due to someone named Bubba installing a V-8 in the frame this was sitting on.
If you are good with metal work and want to start with an original 1950’s body this is for you. If your not good with metal work, buy a repro. from DL Bensinger don’t buy this body it needs a lot of work.
Local pick up only (although, I could deliver it up to 50 miles for a fee if paid in full). No shipping. No returns, no guarantees. Come take a look if you are local.”
