About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

It was a busy week with my kids. This was a pleasant surprise for me as it wasn’t ‘my year’ to have them over spring break. The boys continued to humble me with their video game prowess (with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 the game of choice); however, I evened the battles by destroying them at scrabble and monopoly (yes, real boardgames!) — I still got it!
As usual, there was plenty of food, along with a special celebration of my daughters birthday that included some home made chocolate fondue (into which we dipped a variety of items). The chocolate fondue was inspired by a cheese fondue we enjoyed on Wednesday generously provided by the ewillys Swiss Bureau; So, many thanks to John and his family for that generous gift :-).
The night before the kids arrived (which was saturday night of last weekend), I attached the new heads. They appear to have solved the leaking problem. I still have some minor leakage of oil out the dipstick holder, but I think a little sealant should fix that. One very noticable change is that the engine starts very easily now (though the new battery and alternator are helping with that too). Now, I need to fine tune the carb (an older 500 CFM Performance carb) so that it runs a little less rich under heavy acceleration.
Below are a few pics of the kids playing for the camera:
“I have a 1949 Willys Jeepster Project Vehicle. Motor and Trans complete. 2 wheel drive. Needs restoration. I have the seat cushions as well. Call Steve @ 602-677-6134. Please leave a message as I’am unable to answer it when I’m at work. Click here to see more photos Thank you.”
This may drop further in price. It will be a deal for the right person.
“This is a 1963 Willys Wagon which I got from a guy who was moving to Texas and couldn’t keep it. It was his grandfathers and was a project that he had started working on. The body overall is in good shape with some rust around the rear wheel wells and along the back tailgate which is typical for these. It has a Ford 302 and late model drive train that was put in by the grandson. I don’t know how many miles is on the engine or when it was last run, but is does turn easily. Nice big bumpers on front and back. It does have boxes of extra parts, one original seat and 4 late model bucket seats, an extra tranny, a spare wheel/tire that looks brand new, extra lights, plenty of chrome pieces and trim parts and lots of misc. Also 2 extra front fenders. Brake system does not work at this time and steering is backwards. Overall it is a project vehicle but would be really sweet and unique once driving down the road. See pictures and call me with any questions you might have or if you would like to check it out. It does have an existing Title. Thanks, Randy (719) 244-6617. Also I have more pictures I can e-mail you on request. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I can. I have just reduced the price to $850 or best offer.”
This looks in reasonable condition. I do wonder what gun fighter shot a hole in the hood of this poor, defenseless jeep.
“Please make calls between 7AM and 9PM mountain time 406-591-9090. GREAT huntin’ rig or topless summer fun. F-head 4-cylinder , 12 volt factory system , all new bulbs. heater works great , seats are very nice , no rips or split seams. It has character , runs great , no smoke. Even a BULLET hole , (look after the “S” in WILLYS) ”
I think some better photos would be very helpful. Unclear if it runs.

“1959 Jeep Willy FC-170 Longbed for sale. Not interested in parting out for parts. Although this is definitely a project vehicle, it is worth it if you are looking for a clean titled vintage vehicle. Chassis is in fair condition but is repairable, the bed has some rust. Drive train, engine, intact but has not been driven since 1996, wheels and tires intact. No front or rear window on the cab. Call 465-2100 if interested. Thanks for looking, Mark”

(03/17/2010) It looks like a nice jeep. I’d like to see more pics.
“We have a Jeep Willy’s that we’re trying to sell. I need my husband to give me a list of all the information, but you are welcome to call and ask questions. I believe it’s a 1942, but I could be wrong on the exact year in the 40’s. I do know that it has a Corvette engine in it. It has the two seats in front and a bench seat in back. It can squeal the tires and leave black marks down my driveway! It has 4 wheel drive and a 4 speed tranny. I have a bunch more pictures if you’re interested. Call us at 289-4012”
