UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Bryan’s selling this CJ-6. According to the generally accepted serial number database, this was the last CJ-6 manufactured in 1960. It’s title lists it as a 1961, probably because that’s when it was sold.

Bill shared this post about a rough CJ-3B that was rebuilt into a CJ-2A-looking jeep. The result looks good, but it is also a good reminder that what appears to be a particular model may not be so thanks to the interchangeability of parts.

This R.B. Macbride Ashtray sold on eBay for just over $20. R.B. Macbride was a long time vehicle dealer in Modesto, California, that didn’t get a jeep dealer agreement until early 1957. Here are photos of the ashtray.

This January 17th, 1957, article in the Modesto Bee shares the news about Macbride’s Willys Jeep dealership:
Later that same year, on July 17th, the Modesto Bee ran an ad for Macbride touting the new FC-170:
Seems worth a look for the right person. The green one is a VEC with a column shift and tags.

“Not much of her past is known, but our Owner is a collector of all things rolling and he had a goal when building this CJ. Give her a punch of power, address the challenges and bring a beauty to the show. Brand new steel tub and frontend assembly were required. Paint scheme was selected, and the rebuild began. Finished, she’s show ready and just stunning. Located in Sindey, Nebraska, she has a clear and clean title in our Owner’s name.
Purchased in 2012 locally, she was believed to be a long term resident of the Mid-West. Time took its toll, so a spanking new all-steel body was acquired and painted a stunning green with white flame accents. And when you paint a Jeep, you pretty much paint everything. Never used off-road, her 10 yr old finish is bright and beautiful.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Bill spotted this project Mighty Mite for sale. The starting bid is $3000.
“Up for auction is a AMC M422 A1 Mighty Mite
The original data plate is missing but the frame number is 3232, the body number is 3521, the hood number is 310001 and there are faint unit markings on each side and on the tailgate that consist of the letter V with the numbers 600 above the V and HQ to the bottom right of the V.
The Aluminum body is in good shape without any major damage. There is some cracking around the master cylinder access hole, a shallow dent in the top of the hood and small dent in the passenger side front corner of the fender. Please refer to the pictures for overall condition.
The steel body to windshield cowl is very thin and will need to be replaced. It would make an excellent template to fabricate an new one. The steel windshield frame is in pretty rough shape. I have seen worse saved though.

Listed as a either a 1943 or 1946, this looks most like a 1946 CJ-2A.
