“For sale is 1946 Willys CJ-2A serial number 94602. The jeep retains all of its factory frame and body tags as well as the original engine and drivetrain. The jeep has a valid NC title, the engine turns over freely and the trans and tcase shift through the gears properly. The body is in good shape overall for its age, saved by the top and being stored indoors. The areas that need attention are shown in the photos. This 2A is a wonderful example of a survivor and will make someone a great driver and/or restoration project.

“1963 keep fleetvan fj6a for sale $11,000 obo. Lots of recent work. Still a project but very close to a daily driver. Needs rear main seal on engine replaced, I bought the good neoprene one but haven’t had it installed and timing dialed in. Needs the rest door plywood replaced. Vent on roof leaks and needs resealed. Some of the things I have done are new drums, shoes, springs, cylinders on brakes. New fuel tank, float, lines, carb. New battery, heater core, heat ducts, heater valve, belts and hoses. Tranny rebuilt. New alternator, guages.”

Apparently, the top wasn’t chopped like I previously thought? After looking at this top for comparison http://www.ewillys.com/2020/09/02/meyer-cj-6-hardtop-livingston-mt-1500/, it still looks a little chopped?

If the body is in good shape, this may be worth the price. This is only for the body and hardtop.

M-38A1 Toy Jeep Still Made

John’s mother purchased this plastic M-38A1 toy for him in the 1960s for $.79. He was surprised to learn that it was still being made and sold, though the price is now $17.90:

You can also buy it on a certain online store. I won’t mention them…they have enough money.

As I recall, I eventually got the gun out and painted it white. It’s just a coincidence that 30 years later I bought a very nice restored stock CJ-5, it was also white.

Anyway, I’ll probably pick one up and give it to the shop that is restoring my A1. If I can find a flexible blue paint, I may even paint one in USAF blue like mine.
