Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Bill spotted this nice looking Converto Airborne Dump Trailer.
“You are bidding only on a fully restored, WWII Air Transportable, Dump Trailer, manufactured by Converto. Believed to be a 1944. This trailer was often transported to remote areas and used in construction projects. It was typically towed with a jeep as both could be transported inside a WWII C-47 Cargo Plane. The trailer was originally purchased from the estate of a WWII member of the 20th Air Force, and marked in his honor upon restoration. No Title. Sold with a bill of sale only. ”

“48 Willys CJ-2A with a title in my name.
Rough shape but all there except interior.
All drivetrain is there. The engine is newer not the original flat head. Has an over head valve engine that I’m pretty sure is bad. Does have a rare hardtop with one door that’s in bad shape but probably fixable.
I’ve owned the jeep for years and realized I’m not going to have time to do anything with it.
Looking for $1000 will negotiate in person if you’re interested.

“$5,500 Obo. I have a 1946 willys jeep for sale, great condition. Freshly rebuilt F134 engine with about 30 miles on it after the rebuild. New brakes all around with disc brakes added up front. Brand new 9,000lbs winch on the front for those sticky situations while out wheeling. Jeep has a brand new clutch and a 4 speed transmission, tires are also in excellent condition. Has a well built rollbar and top, and has been rhino lined inside and out for ease of cleaning. This jeep would make the perfect hunting rig or just an all around fun little trail ride. Today we received our first “big” snow. Anything over a few inches is a big snow for us. So, I’ll be shoveling and using the tractor to clear some area. Thankfully, this stuff should melt pretty quickly over the next few days.
Anyone plow with a quad or ATV/UTV? Is that heavy enough to do a decent plow job? Most of my plowing is pavement (about a half acre worth). We could use a small little runabout vehicle for the property anyway.
