“These are early Willys Jeep doors for CJ5. They are in amazing condition with no rust and complete window glass with working mechanism and handles. Must pickup locally in Thousand Oaks, CA.”
This jeep sold within an hour of being posted (at $2500) on Facebook. You’ll note it’s a DJ-3A body with footman loops across the back and on the fenders. The jeep has a column shifter. It’s also got pink under the hood. It appears it never had the oil bath filter; instead, it likely had the wire gauze filter. So, I suspect it was a DJ-3A Surrey.
UPDATE: UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,800.
(02/02/2021) Looks in good shape, though I’d like to see under the body given the diamond plate on the floors. It’s missing the PTO bar as well.
“1947 CJ2A Jeep for sale. It is the civilian model with the original L-head 4 cylinder type engine and 4 wheel drive 3 speed transmission. It has had a fairly recent restoration to include a motor overhaul, and it runs, drives, and shifts well. The tires are excellent, the interior seats are recovered, and the top is almost new ($950). Also the electrical system is 12 volt and has an alternator. Currently titled in Texas in my name as an antique vehicle, and ready for you to go play! Would be a perfect vehicle to own in a coastal setting or ranch. Located in Conroe Tx and available to view most days.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(01/29/2021) It runs. Appears to have at least some slight rust.

“This is a 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B (453GB2). It runs. The 4WD works. It has a new gas tank and new battery. It has new tires in the original all terrain style. It has a new winch on front with an LED light bar. It has a tow bar. It comes with a high rear seat for hunting. It does not have seat cushions though. It has a gun rack but it is not installed yet. It does have the tailgate but it is not currently on the jeep.
The passenger rear fender has been replaced. I also have a front quarter replacement but it has not been installed. It has a complete new brake system with new drums, pads and lines. It can probably use a carb tune up but it does have new spark plugs, wires and hoses. I bought it with a title but it turns out it was not the correct title as the serial number does not match so I am selling it without a title. You can get a new title fairly easily though due to its age. Overall the jeep is in decent shape. I will not respond to ANY lowball offers so don’t waste your time.”
I can’t tell if this was built to drag/sand race or just built to be a hot rod cruiser.

(09/24/2020) The description is brief on this wagon: “runs”. This could be a stock gem if the inside condition is good.
The most interesting this to me about this brochure is that the front of it shows the wagon in front of 1962 Seattle World’s Fair icons. In terms of brochures, based on what I’ve seen, Willys-Overland and Willys-Motors didn’t usually include that kind of iconography.
This is the front:
The back (when unfolded) is blank:
Unfolding the brochure vertically yields these images:
Opening either wing reveals the unfolded imagery:

This 1952 video is slightly different than another video (Jeepers Creepers) containing some of the same clips.
vs. this version (which most of us have seen):
These two photos from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Digital Archives includes these two photos from a June 1949 trip though Southeastern Utah, specifically the Glen Canyon area. It’s unclear who these folks were or whether this was an official survey party or just an jeep adventure.
