Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. If the tire mount is original to the driver’s side location, then this may be a “Lefty”. There are no top bow holder brackets on the passenger side.

Listed as a 1947, the body looks to be a Lefty, so likely a 1948.
