About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 willy runs good original engine drive train. 4 wheel drive works good 4 cyl. 3 speed with military tires in great condition. good seats with back seat new top with new doors that never been installed.”
(12/1/2013) “1945 Willys CJ2A Jeep – original frame but everything else was a complete rebuild. Too many things to list here but the jeep features disc brakes, steering upgraded to all steel knuckles, rockers are Crane Cams Gold Race, Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, new rims and tires 33″ all terrain, engine was custom built by SFD Engines of Dallas 330 hp & 425 foot lbs torque.”
This looks great, though I’m a little surprised it wasn’t redone with the column shift. That got me thinking, was it possible to order an early CJ-2A with a floor shift?
“Very early production with matching numbers. This Jeep has undergone a complete ground-up restoration to original condition. It has the original 134cid 4 cylinder engine and T90 3-speed manual transmission with T-18 Spicer transfer case. Upgrades include stainless steel valves with hardened seats for unleaded fuel, carburetor (original included) and transfer case counter shaft upgrades. (12/17/2013) Hole in gas tank, but otherwise looks good.

(10/18/2013) Nothing fancy, but looks like a solid jeep that might be easy to restore.

Feel free to ask questions (916) 201-7624 Daniel. If this ad is up then it is available for sale. Local sale only, no shipping offers would be entertained.”
Sean is correct (see comment below). It appears the column shift was not original (as I first thought), especially given the hole in the transmission cover for a standard tranny tower (which I missed). I’d suggest examining it closely before buying.
“1946 column shifter. Runs and looks great. Must see to appreciate. Current registration. Street legal. Moving so must sell.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000 Only Jeep available now (trailer was available, too).
(03/10/2010) Here’s an original combo that hasn’t been restored.
“1952 M38 flatfender jeep, original 4cyl flathead gas engine, 4 spd trans, this jeep was released from the US gov. forestry service and in original condition. All data plates intact and almost no rust. It has a thick layer of red paint over the original army green.”
(01/03/2014) Brad’s selling this nice looking DJ-3A at a good price. The only minor issue I see is the modified steps, but those could be repaired over time.
“Willys DJ-3A, Survivor, 2WD, 1958 Flat Fender Dispatch Jeep 4×2, Mostly Restored with rebuilt engine & transmission. Other items; new Best Top, brakes, radiator, elec cooling fan, rebuilt steering box & carb. Runs needs some TLC.”
(06/12/2012) The seller believes this might be a Traveller, but Dan points out the following:
1. It’s a ’56 and Travellers were made 1960-1964 (to the best of his knowledge).
2. It has the polygon rear fender openings of a wagon, not the curved of a Delviery that Travellers and Parkways were made from.
3. It has the low roof, not the high roof.
