This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1961 willys 4×4 flatbed 226 huricane motor runs well 4×4 works great new 6 ply tires,body covered with hurcliner liner coating ,no dent ,converted to elec wipers ,leather bucket seats,am/fm cass,cab lights,fog lights,spot lighy over bed,new exhaust,motor body mount replaced,chrome rings on rims new brakes,tach,loaded with lots of extras as seen in pics.”

(10/02/2012) “This is a Willys Jeep with original transmission and engine. It has a canvas top, large interior heater and gun rack. All gages work. Some NOS parts were used. Kit body was used. Some things on this jeep are not original issue such as, converted electrical from 6 volt to 12, fan, distributor has been upgraded for electronic ignition and start button upgrade. These things were done to make the jeep more reliable. The engine has 209 miles on it. Everything has been done on this. This Willys is from the restorers personal collection and it is awesome.”

This looks like a good restoration completed by Willys Jeep Restorations in Ohio. You can see the restoration process here. It appears a trailer is included in the sale.

“the CJ2A has an upgraded F-head 4 cylinder in it and also has a power take off unit in rear. the leaf spring suspension has been “beefed” up to allow big Mudder tires if you want. all brake shoes have been replaced with new wheel cylinders and master cylinder rebuilt,all parts bought from Willy”s Works in tucson. small parts such as some dash guages.alternator,battery ,spark plugs bought from auto zone or oreillys. the carburetor has been overhauled (no choke).the jeep will need tail pipe.all lights work.has the fold down windsheild.no heater. tires are in great shape.roll bar and tow bar come with jeep.the jeep shifts just fine in low or high range.and clutch is smooth.what you see in pics is what you get. it is a rugged old Willy”s to have fun with. thx . also the parking brake handle is missing.but brake assembly is on transfer case..”

Though there are a few things left to do on this jeep, it looks nicely refurbished.
“The new owner of this 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep will get to decide on the color and how much tint if any they want on the windshield glass. Those are about the only large items that need to be done yet. In addition, the new light harness needs to be installed and there are a few other minor items to be completed. All the big stuff is done. There is a new steel body sitting on an un-modified frame. It has new brakes, brake lines, NDT tires & tubes and exhaust system. It has a new battery and proper sized battery cables. The engine was professionally rebuilt as was the transmission/transfer case. Frame was cleaned and painted when the body was off. There is some very minor rust through on the rear cross member that is covered by the draw bar that comes with it. It runs well in both 2 & 4 WD. It is titled but not licensed so it has only been run on our property and a few back roads. I would guess the engine only has about 20 hours on it. Seats have new cushions and covers. Gauges and steering wheel are new. This CJ2A has been done correctly with no cut corners. It is being sold due to health issues that will not allow me to enjoy it when completed so the new owner may as well have their pick of color for it. There are many spare parts that will be included with the sale.”

(02/27/2012) This looks like a good jeeping jeep.
“1946 CJ3A flat fender willys, Buick 225 v6 runs good also comes with spare motor for either parts or the bottom end needs rebuilt. 33″x12.5 Dunlap mud terrains about 85%-90% tread on them still. 5:38 gears Dana 44 and Dana 30, locker in the rear not sure what kind though, t-18 transmission granny first gear, Dana 300 transfer case, power steering, bikini top only, year and a half old warn 8000 lb. winch never have used it other than testing when installed. Two under the seat 11 gallon fuel tanks plus two 5 gallon cans on the back ( yes this jeep will hold 32 gallons of fuel) jeep rack on rear, LED rear tail lights. Could use a paint job and needs to be re-wired. $5000 or best offer no emails will be answered, no text messages will be answered.”
This is one nice wagon.
“a friend that started Fujimo in the mid 80’s passed away and i purchased it and finished it. it has had 4 engines a 283,350 ,400 and now a 383 stroker. it has a rack and pinion mustang 2 with disc brakes for a front end. 383 stroker motor connected to a 350 turbo with a 3200 stall converter. top has been chopped approx 4 inches and top of roof stands at apptox 67 inches. car was shown with great sucess in the early 90’s. fujimo was driven and not a trailer queen. he was retired in 1996 and placed in air conditioned storage.. he was taken out approx 5 months ago and sent to an old nascar mechanic in georgia. valves that had become noisy in storage were adjusted, transmission whose seals had dried out was completele rebuilt and cooling system was redoone including new larger radiator, new waterpump and electric cooling fan and larger fan blade was installed. clear coat had a couple of bubbles in it so fujimo was taken down to bear metal and new graphics and coat of yellow paint was applied, new carpet was also installed . old diamond pattern upholstory has a few minor stains but it was decided to leave it alone. considered installing an aftermarket SUV rack for the surfboard but decided against it. It would probably cost over one hundred thou to reproduce this vehicle. have invested over 15,000 since coming out of storage. I am 78 years old so it’s time for my old friend to go to a new home.”
